• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Just saying good bye

My wife dropped off our plate to the DMV and shared with the employee how much the Spyder and the plate meant to me (us). She said, my husband is the dog and I am Mrs. Dog. Any way, look what she found wrapped up in a bag along with her receipt showing she turned it in. How cool is that?

    Just saying good bye

I have sold my Spyder. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my many questions. In the long run it seems like I was cursed, but combine that with my wife's health and the financial drain from both, it had to go. So again, thanks! Dog out....

    Dead Battery? Need Help!!

My Spyder has been in my toy hauler all winter, at some point my trickle charger came unplugged. The Spyder won't start even after a night on a charger. It wants to start but does not. The only thing I notice is when I turn the key, it does not go into the "mode" setting, skips right past it...

    Shifting Clunk

Long story but I had the master - slave cylinder rebuilt. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?72886-stranded-in-Gettysburg-PA&p=876591#post876591 A few days later it would not start in gear. I found another thread that had an easy fix to that one...

    Shifting Clunk

I don't recall the Spyder shifting as clunky as it has in the past before my last repair. The Spyder runs great and even starts in gear (now) but when shifting it clunks. (SM5) Thoughts?

Do you need to be a mechanic to own this bike?

Changing up my signature: "Free To Be Me, But Not Riding For Free". Having said that, I just spent more on my wife's car yesterday than everything I have into the Spyder.

    RARE BREEDS

I wish there were more around. Really tired of all the questions at every stop. At least if there were more we could each take one question. How much did you pay? How's the gas mileage? How fast does it go? And my favorite, is that a Can Am Spyder?

    stranded in Gettysburg PA

Just an incredible good experience with Motosports! Without notice I had my Spyder towed there only to find out the service department is closed on Saturdays. They said they would try to reach there tech on his day off. Within a couple of hours they called to say it was ready. How does that...

Put on 400 miles since the clutch master cyclender was filled and bleed. Now it is doing the same thing. The fluid is gone, the clutch won't engage. Where is the brake fluid going? I see there is a dealer in Hanover. Any ideas? On top of everything else I have been sick in bed for most of the...

    A Big Thank You!

This forum has been so helpful in my time of need. First correctly diagnosing my clutch issue (what's wrong with this picture, post) and second Lamonster for posting a video on how to take the side panels off. He made it look easy and it was. Luckily I have a friend who knows bikes inside and...
