• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Everyone who loved the 70's can you guess who this is ?

How sad - I used to see Zappa and the Mothers almost every time they blew into Pittsburgh. Sounds like he was a great guy outside of his musical life....

Uncle Frank did, yes. It was just a clue!!! :banghead:

Different Audience I'm thinking Spydie appeals to an audience with a touch (or a whole bunch) of gray whereas the Slingshot is targeting a younger "balls to walls" type of audience. The thing DOES look exciting, but I personally do not need that much excitement in my life at this point in...

Thinking of trading my Harley for a Can Am RT. Tell me how much you love yours

Spydie IS Comfortable I used to ride on two wheels and made the transition to three. What I really like about the Spyder is how comfortable my wife is (I did install a Corbin seat with rider backrest and passenger armrests). We have an RT which has enough storage space for weekend luggage...

    Battery Maintenance

I had to wear a coat in to work this morning, which made me start think about winterizing (too soon for that thought). Regardless, I live in WV where it gets COLD in the winter and I store Spydie under the carport with a cover on her. Last year I used the half length travel cover and...

    MORE Sway Bar Praise.......

Soooooo I just installed BajaRon sway bar and heim links on my RT. Took me about 3 hours because I have limited mechanical ability and about 7 tools. Process was not bad, I just went slow and easy. Like anything else on these beasts it takes longer to strip off and carefully replace the...

Power Steering issue in the cold

I rode into work the past two days and its been below 30 degrees for the ride in. Steering is a tad stiff initially, but loosens up within the first 1/4 mile.

I usually have a cup of coffee when I roll in the door at work, but not today - I was WIDE awake!

My wifes car is in the shop and believe it or not, she is driving my car. What a great excuse to unplug the battery tender, throw on a couple of layers of WARM clothing, crank up the grip warmers, and head off to work. It was a balmy 28 degrees when I left home, but what a wonderful experience...

    Squeaky Shifter???

I recently installed some sealboards on my 2010 SM5. This requires putting on a new shift lever. Something squeaks when the shifter is moved - does anyone know of anything that might need lubed and what kind of lubricant would work best? Any thoughts are appreciated!

    bump skid plate

Good Stuff! My daughters driveway is steep and unpaved. Large (cobble size) rocks keep the smaller stuff in place. Wouldnt take Spydie up the driveway without bumpskid (and proceeding slowly and cautiously)

What seat do you like the best and why?

Corbin I love my Corbin and my wife loves the trunkrest and armrests that go with it. I installed the Corbin after I blew out a disc from the too soft for me OEM seat. Corbin is a hard surface and it took a few miles for the seat and my posterior to become best friends!

I'm so mad at myself. May have to be in hospital for back surgery ....

Blown Disc I actually blew out L4-L5 from riding incorrectly (trying to keep up with my son on his crotch rocket on a twisting mountainous WV road). Surgery was a breeze and after recovery and a nice new Corbin seat I am better than before :) Although I wish nothing like this on you, if you...

    Battery Mart

Had a pleasant customer service issue with Battery Mart I'd like to share. Purchased a new battery for my Spydie from them online and requested overnight shipping because I NEED to get on the road (Spydie does not run well with a DEAD battery. Anyways, the package did not come overnight...

ADDED SOME OIL, NOW NO DIAGNOSTICS???

The Final Word Problem appears to have been battery so keep you fingers crossed for me. The original YUSA battery was most likely toast and simply needed replaced. It was easy enough to drop in the new battery, just tedious! I went with an Odyssey PC680 for a replacement as it seems to have...

    Seal Floorboards on RT SM5

Anyone installed Seals on an RT? I have a 2010 RT SM5 and am wondering how they look and if its hard to install with the shifter...... Thanks!

ADDED SOME OIL, NOW NO DIAGNOSTICS???

Thanks To All :) Thanks to everyone for their input on this. Right now my game plan is to drop in a new battery and then get it to the dealer so their computer can run some more thorough diagnostics. I have owned it for 2 years now and the warranty ran out about six weeks ago :gaah: Mileage...
