• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Interstate Cruising

I too had that bit of unstable feeling on interstates, especially in a metro area like Phoenix, with 5 or 6 lanes in each direction. I went with the Works Shocks, and like everyone reports... What a difference. Ray

    Things you need to know

I had the same problem with the oil filter gasket when the dealer did the 600 mile service last spring. When I called the dealer, they told me to just bring it back in. He was not happy when I told him to get off his butt and come get it fix it and bring it back. I learned to pay a bit closer...

Just what you suggested is what I did when I had my Goldwing Trike. Worked for me and I had no problem with the weight. Ray

    Spyder RT Fog Light Installation

Roger... Thanks for all the input. Now if the shocks would only get here, I'll get to work on it. When the daytime outside temp is triple digit, I do my best work starting about 5 am. During the summer, I don't do much riding except early in the morning. Thanks again. Ray

    Spyder RT Fog Light Installation

I've purchased the Fog Lights for my 2010 Spyder RT. The instructions look fairly complete but I was wondering where I should look to find the connectors for the fog lights & switch? I'll be removing the front trunk completely as I'll be installing new Works Pro Series Piggyback Front...

    Glove Box Insert

My 2010 did not come with the liner. I just use a piece of felt and carry both the gate and garage door openers in it. Even in the Phoenix, Arizona heat, no problems.

    EVO Sway Bar on RT

The bushings on the Evo Swaybar are black. I just received mine a few days ago and went out to the garage and checked. Haven't even had a chance to get it installed yet. Waiting for the Works Shocks to arrive.

    B.E.S.T. Plus question?

I just had my 600 mile service performed under a service contract and mine covered everything required. I have a RPM-One Priority Maintenance Agreement I imagine there is a lot of different agreements out there with different rules and costs. You should be able to look at your agreement and...

    Works Shocks Question

Hey Dragonrider... Have you had a chance to give those new shocks a good workout yet? I just ordered a set of Works Shocks for my RT. Quick way to drop a cool thousand dollars. I already have the Evoluzione Sway Bar and will install that at the same time. Sure hope it all helps to tighten...

DPS Replaced - How do you know?

Thanks, Jeff. Good information. According to another post it seems that I have to also see if I have a nut rubbing the frame. I always thought the hobby was riding the Spyder, not working on it.:sour: Ray

DPS Replaced - How do you know?

Thanks for the info. Going to have the Tupperware off to install fog light, new sway bar, etc in a couple of weeks. Will take a look at that time. Now all I've got to figure out is what I'm actually looking for. Is it the steering box? Ray

DPS Replaced - How do you know?

Just had my 2010 RT in for its 600 mile service and inquired about the DPS Recall. The dealer said mine was done when it was assembled. Is there any way I can tell if it has actually been replaced? I sometimes have a hard time trusting a dealer and would feel better knowing for sure. Thanks. Ray

    Cost of Oil Change

The local dealer gave me a good deal on the service package so we'll have to wait and see what else they try to tack on. Currently on have about 400 miles on it.

    Transmission Question

Just got my new RT a couple of weeks ago but happy with the SE5. Similar type trans in my Smart Car and Volvo VN-670 Semi. Manual trans and clutch shifted by aid of computer smarts. In my case, the computer or TCM is smarter and quicker than I am. Ray
