• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

I dun did it and went with the 2019. Maybe some of you will see the Great Pumpkin if you frequent SpyderQuest or Rockland or Orange counties in NY.

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

My 2013 plain ole RT had harder or softer options for the rear using a Schrader valve and your very own compressor. Though they offered an onboard compressor option so that you could change it up from the seat.

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

What's different about the new sprocket? I'm considering a new Spyder and looking at a used 2019 RT Limited with ~13000 miles for $16k and a new 2024 plain old RT for ~$24k.

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

Hi all, There seem to be a lot of low mileage 2019 RTs on the market. Are people giving them up because of the newer models, or was there some issue with this model year? I've looked around here and elsewhere, and I don't see a lot of issues outside "the red dust of death", and possibly the...

Uh oh, electrical gremlins - headlights not working; hole burnt by plate light?

13 RT SE5 weirdness at ~41k miles. One headlight fails, okay time to do the bulbs. Got the replacements but when moving the Spyder around to change it notice the other bulb is out. Okay, could be the bulb was on the way out too. The high beam relay sounds fine when pressing the high beams but...

    Can- Am 2021 Line up

Me too, I’d get a turbo Ryker tomorrow. CanAm should also look at plug-in RT. They are in a unique position to offer more range than 2wheelers if only because they can stuff in more batteries.

    RH mirror housing clip guidance

Discovered that my RH mirror was hanging by a thread. Since my last oil change someone at the stealership must have broke the top clip, the one that slides onto the flat top peg and not either of the two with the springs in them. Nice that they didn't mention this and I was lucky that the...

2013 RT headlight switch - what's the part number?

Interesting, yes the hi/lo switch. It worked fine the next day. It was cold that day and the Spyder was covered in frost so maybe that affected things? Gremlins?

2013 RT headlight switch - what's the part number?

Hi all, My headlight switch may be toast. Does anyone know if the part number for the switch is 710002351? If not does anyone have the part number handy? Many thanks, Y

Batteries (again)- Yuasa vs. third party, gel?

Ended up going with a X-Rated battery from throttleX. It’s made in TN and the casing and terminals seem to be of better quality than on the Yuasa. It came charged but put it on the charger then popped it in and she started right up. -Y

Batteries (again)- Yuasa vs. third party, gel?

Thanks for the post. Some clarification, trickle charger in this case is a smart charger. The OEM Yuasa specs has electrolyte absorbed into a fiberglass mat, not as a gel. The OEM is the factory activated version, those with -BS are retail activated. It hardly matters in 13 RT as the battery...

Batteries (again)- Yuasa vs. third party, gel?

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't really hibernate as its ridden any day that dry and where the temps are not below the mid 30's with the gear I have. Since its not ridden as often in the winter it has stabilizer in the fuel and is on a charger in the winter. Yeah, I could see running it for 5...

Batteries (again)- Yuasa vs. third party, gel?

Hi all, 2013 RT battery stone cold dead, cannot jump start. Keep it on a trickle charger and turn the bike over every two weeks when out of season. The battery is the original and so is over 7 years old so may be time to replace. Some questions, Is it worth looking at a a third party or only...

    BRP going electric?

Can-Am has teased an electric drivetrain for years. I’ve always thought that they had an an advantage in range and performance because of the reverse trike layout. I think what is driving interest in electric drivetrains now is the free recharging. Here is a more recent teaser...

    influencing nanny

The nanny can be tricked into letting you drift. When going around a tight turn with some speed, it seems turning the wheels slightly into the turn combined with the Gs causes the nanny to pulse the breaks. This causes the spyder to slightly break traction and go around the turn at something...

    Un oh, no start

Hi all, 2013 RT SE5. Turning the key boots up the display with no drama. Pressing mode shows the usual screen making ready to start and SE5 is in neutral. Pressing start and nothing. No codes. Pressing on the brake makes no difference. The battery seems charged. Looking a relays and fuses...

    Ryker 600 vs 900?

Like the Ryk but why no turbo option? Hi all, Maybe Cams wanted to save something for next year or thought they needed time to address teething issue when people start buying and ryding Ryker. It seems like they already have a turbo motor to plop into the Ryker that looks like a bolt on...

    So it's called the Ryker!

I like that they went to a hub in the rear. This should make changing and upgrading tyres much easier.

    Going from Goldwing to Spyder

Not sure if its is an issue for many but as the Spyder stands on its own you never have to consider its weight like you wold on a big bike like the Wing.
