• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Girls on Spyders

..and I'm over 50 years old. I tell people my inner child is close to service. I consider myself a girl most of the time.

    Girls on Spyders

That was my thought. Well, my first thought was 'are you part of the G.O.S. group? If not, why do you care at all?' It's a group that brings together 'girls' or 'women' that love to ride their Spyders. That's all, no drama, nothing else. :dontknow:

Hill Country Spyder Ride - October 11,12,13 2013

That's my question too. I will need to leave the house about 45 minutes to an hour to be in Kerrville (take 16 to 173), so to know the KSU time would be awesome...

Hill Country Spyder Ride - October 11,12,13 2013

I won't be staying at the hotel (I live outside Bandera, TX) - do you know when the ride starts? Definitely will be there.

Hill Country Spyder Ride - October 11,12,13 2013

I just found out about this (from the G.O.S. site) - I plan on going. Do you want to meet somewhere? Do you know when the start up time for the sisters ride is?

    What's your Spyder's Top Speed?

I like your restrictor - I tend to never go more than 5 above the speed limit. Speed limit down here is 75, and it's 85 on the toll road.

I enjoyed the ride - on the first part (Bandera to Leakey), I was in the back of the pack, number 11 of 13, with the white RS and the silver RT behind me. It was cool having the Spyders behind me. In the picture above, the green one is mine.

The Three Sisters ride Yesterday was fun - I'm still a little sore. Great time! We had five Spyders show up and do the three roads - I'm sure we turned heads.

Look up HCMR (Hill Country Motorcycle Riders) on Meetup.com - they ride ALOT - weekly rides on Thursday, others on Saturday and Sunday and different levels (beginning, medium and advanced). Look forward to seeing you ride with us in the future!

I'll be at the Exxon station in Bandera at 10:00 Saturday morning - part of the HCMR ride (Hill Country Motorcycle Riders) - they are starting at the Helotes Exxon station at 9:00 (9:15 ksu). Hope to see others join us - it is a fun ride. Bring rain gear, there is a 20-30% chance of rain.

This is a great ride - I'll be at Koyote Ranch on the weekend of the 15th, if you over here at that time. Always do the Twisted Sisters then (and get a new shirt at the Frio shop, near the beginning of 337). Have fun!

Welcome to the world of three wheels! You will find that it's fun to ryde in any weather! The only time I don't ryde is when it's raining on the way to the garage. All other weather is fair game. Have fun!!!

    Ladies with long hair

This works very well - I have one too! During the cooler months, I wear a heavy hoodie under my jacket. I keep the hoodie part up, which keeps my hair from flying around. I'll wear a lighter hoodie during the warmer months (during the hot months, all bets are off).

    Busy Weekend

Hate the cold. I only rode eight days in February. It was a bit nippy this morning (slight mist lower 50's), but it was in the upper 80's on the way home. Took my baby girl to the dealership for her 4,000 miles check up - 140 miles round trip (I'm not complaining...). The groundhog lied.

    Long Distance Riding

Awesome write-up! A couple of notes -- a) The RS doesn't have much trunk space (granted, more than a two wheel that doesn't have saddlebags). I usually keep a blanket in there, my rain gear and I can stuff a backpack in it. I figured for a SS1000, I wouldn't need more than that (with a change...

    Long Distance Riding

Well - seems to me that any Iron Butt ride is not a casual thing - takes endurance no matter what you ride/ryde. When I brought it up (that I want to do this) to the group, no one said, "oh, no you ride three wheels." I ride with a group of women - called L.O.W. riders (Ladies on Wheels)...

    Long Distance Riding

I like the idea of the sheepskin, and I'll check out the Walmart gel. I think the gas stops might be the best bet. I know I can get 140 out of a tank, but I plan on riding with several riders, and I think I'll go the "I need to get gas" route. Thanks!!!
