• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Reliability question

I need to thank all that replied to this thread it has lessened my fears of the RT. And it gave me the name of my RT when it arrives. NC-991RT (Trekkies will understand)

    Reliability question

Since this thread has drifted a bit let me give some background on myself. In my younger years I rode a CB400 all over the eastern US with a screwdriver, adjustable wrench and some luck. breakdowns were something to be dealt with and move on. I still feel that way. Since returning to the sport...

    Reliability question

My wife is in love with the RT. I'm not completely sold on it yet, I like the concept. But.... I currently ride a Goldwing and would not hesitate to just jump on and take off cross country. 35K trouble free miles so far and don't think twice about taking off for a week or two at a time. We're...

    Anyone know about..

I just completed the survey. I also believe it was from BRP. Both from the questions and the fact that there has been ZERO talk about this on the other forums I frequent. Now I don't yet own a spyder but I have been on a couple demo rides and they have my contact info from those.

    Searching for Replacement Seat

Wing soft has a favorable following among Goldwing riders. I personally have not sat on one. Do a search on the Goldwing forums and you should be able to find what your looking for.

    Keeping My Baby Clean

    new model 2013

Consider this scenario Downsized RS chassis, about 90% scale with 660cc motor 40mpg. Priced around $10-12K market towards entry level, early 20 yr olds and overseas markets. Retune the RS to full power 990cc add elect reverse and regain 6th gear. make this into a true sports model. The RT...

    new model 2013

If you think European/Asian markets then a smaller displacement/chassis makes perfect sense. With fuel prices 2-3 times what they are here a North American spec Spyder will not be a huge success. Make a smaller and more fuel efficient model and it would make a very nice option for city and...

    2nd demo ride

I demo'd an RS a few months ago and was not impressed, In fact I was looking forward to the ride being over. Last weekend I jumped on the Goldwing and went out to Mid Ohio and demo'd a RT. A much BETTER experience. About halfway through the ride I finally figured it out, you do countersteer...

    Insurance prices

I understand that no 2 people have the same rates due to a myriad of possibilities. Perhaps I should have worded my question differently. I currently ride a gold wing with full coverage and it is rated as a non-sport bike, with rates accordingly. So are the RT's rated here in jersey as a sport...

    Insurance prices

What are the typical insurance prices here in NJ? I've lived here all my life so I know it won't be cheap. just curious on what to expect to pay. I'm seriously considering a new RT in the spring and just don't want any surprises when the time comes. thanks

    Not so good demo drive

Thanks for all the replies. I haven't given up on the RT yet. Thinking back I probably should of went with a man shift instead of the semi-auto that would of been 1 less distraction. Suddenly I was on a sport model instead of the upright more familiar surroundings. leaned over the bars, no...
