• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

Approach angle is something I had considered. May have to think of different approach. Maybe back it in vs forward.

87 Octane seems to work just fine

OK I mis-spoke. I guess what I was trying to say is its more "stable" or less resistant to burn until it is supposed to. Thus my "cooler" reference. If you really want something that runs cooler go full alcohol. But burn rate is like 2 to one. LOL

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

I will have to look again, but I believe both; I am looking at having a "beaver tail" type entry, so its sloped at the ramp which should help.

Do Tinted Helmet Visors diminish your ability to see out in the dark/night?

My experience is Yes! A tinted "darker" visor is hard to see thru at night. My Bell Mag 9 has a clear visor with a tinted drop down inside that is not too bad at night. The best night visor that I have had is an amber color, good for rain, too. Daylight, not so much!

87 Octane seems to work just fine

So part of the manufactures octane game is "how it burns" and emissions to pass regulations. It burns a bit hotter so it helps with the emissions and makes EPA happy.

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

Looking at possibly going with a Toy Hauler. Getting close to calling it quits on the job front and relaxing some. We are not looking new, actually, I think I have narrowed it down to a couple of 2015 models. And as luck has it, both are from defunct companies. I think, from the videos and...

Getting close to decision time. I need some input from those who have ridden an F3-L and RTL?

We are both about the 5'6" size. We test rode both on a demo day. Since it was about 2 weeks (I think) after the wife had knee surgery, she wasn't real mobile. The F3 was a bit easier for her to get on, I suspect because the ride position is a bit lower. I liked the seating position of the F3...

Has anyone used one of these trailers? Any doubts?

For a Spyder? Nope! Your rear wheel will have to turn the entire trip. That is made for tagging a car along.

Your Weather News @ August 2025 Edition

Well have had Key Lime Pie in Key West also. We spent a labor day some years back in KW. WE kind of made a tasting for the 4 or 5 days of different shops take on it. Kind of fun. So our weather here in VERY Sunny Daytona area, freaking hot. Like surface of the sun hot. 95+ in daytime with heat...

Why is my Tire pressure so low?!

My brother-in law got me a digital tire inflator a couple years back for Christmas. It works great. For the weekly check I use a small digital gauge from Orylies I think. Any who, the 2 gauges match pretty close, like a couple tenths.

Is Plexus, the plastic cleaner/protector, available anywhere besides the manufacturer?

You could use any of the plastic cleaners on the bodywork if you wanted to, I suppose. Benefit of the "windshield" cleaners is that they don't have particles in it to "buff" the paint like say, a Turtle wax.

My MPG skyrocketed in ECO Mode - is ECO Mode really that much better?

For the most part running back and forth to work, say 60 mph 40 miles one way. I average about 32-35 mpg. My V-twin 108 CI Victory was closer to 40 mpg. But it beats 14 in my 2500 PU.

What windshield bug cleaner do you use?

I use the Plastex stuff. Have used it since back in 80's. I will use a foaming spray non-ammonia cleaner on windshield with micro fiber. Let it sit a bit to loosen up dirt etc.

What do you do for K&N Air Filter Cleaning? Use the Kit, or is there an easier/cheaper way?

EZ on the oil. Any of the light oils for a filter should work. To much oil on filter has been known to foul up MAP sensors on some of the cars I have worked on.

My MPG skyrocketed in ECO Mode - is ECO Mode really that much better?

I watched that video when I first got mine. And then a couple more comparing ECO to regular. All results were about the same, not enough noticeable difference. And the performance to get out of the way was not worth it.

Where are you from? Where do you live?

Just north of Daytona Beach. Like: close to some good riding if I get the chance. Close enough to son and grand kids, but not close enough either of us are going to drop in without a call first. LOL Lately the heat has been killer.

How can I remove the passenger seat when the key will not work?

I haven't had any issues with the seat yet, but the frunk seems to have a mind of its own.

Anyone tried Washing/Cleaning the Pads from inside a helmet?

Dawn dish soap has become kind of my new go to for cleaning things. Honestly my Bell helmet I have probably had longer than I should, but I bought new pads a year or so back and replaced them.
