• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Initial Bluetooth connection to iPhone that works then fails to reconnect - any ideas

I have the same problem but with Apple Carplay in my car. It's frustrating, but one method that seems to work is to restart my iphone. Not sure how pairing works with the RT's Carplay, but in my car I noticed it asks for a pin because I set one up. Providing that seems to work. Hope the reboot...

    First EV Roadtrip

Just ran into this thread. I had a 2020 Model 3 and went on two long trips. One was about 3000 miles and the other about 2000 miles. Based on those two experiences, I was not too happy and that was one reason I eventually sold the model 3 and later got a Lexus PHEV. The good: 1. Driving on...

Is an Aerostich suit the way to go? Or not?

Not in my experience. It's on your, firmly, because you have the primary zips closed. The vents help a bit, but in my experience you have to occasionally expose them into the wind to get some much needed air circulation on a hot summer day. Raise your arms, sticks your hand into the wind etc so...

Is an Aerostich suit the way to go? Or not?

I've had a one-piece Roadcrafter (I think) since 2008. I used it all the time and it was in storage last four years, but I brought it out again last month as I bought a new Spyder. The suit is still as good as new (washed it a couple times many years ago). It's very, very comfortable with a very...

Where should I stick WA State's 'Good To Go!' pass?

Called customer service and they said to place at the bottom of the windshield. I'll wait for someone to respond here and prefer that firsthand experience to a rep who doesn't know the Spyder

Where should I stick WA State's 'Good To Go!' pass?

Got a new 2023 RTL and trying to figure out where to stick the WA state Good to go! transponder pass. Instructions for motorcycles say to stick in center of headlight. That probably won't help because the Spyder's headlights are not visible from the top. Not clear if the transponder needs to be...

Considering 2023 or 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky - some questions to help me decide/commit??

The difference in features between 2023 and 2024 (primarily the carplay feature) wasn't much to convince me to pay up the extra (and probably pay MSRP and get a loan at market rates), so it came down to 2023 RT L Red Platinum vs 2023 S2S and I went with the 2023 RT L because of the price...

Do you use motorcycle parking spaces?

Place the cone at the edge of the sparking space so it is visible even before the other car driver turns into the space because they couldn't see the spyder between two larger cars.

Do you use motorcycle parking spaces?

This is where it helps to carry a small orange cone and place it behind the Spyder to avoid this situation. I see cones at Amazon with heights starting from 4 inches.

Do you use motorcycle parking spaces?

Your experience parking in motorcycle parking spaces What is your experience parking your Ryker/Spyder in designated motorcycle parking areas? I'm picking up my Spyder in a couple of days and as a first time owner, wondering if I should bother parking in m/c spaces or just find a car spot. Do...

Are the Ultimate seats a good buy?

Curious about your use of wild-ass seat cushion on top of a heated comfort seat. The heat from the comfort seat probably doesn't transfer through the wild-ass seat right? Or does it, enough to help you in cold weather? Perhaps the heat transfers through better with just the misty mountain...

Considering 2023 or 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky - some questions to help me decide/commit??

I suppose the challenge with upgrading from the heated seat that comes with the RT Limited is you need the new seat to be compatible (if you care to have heated seats). Are enough options available besides the heated comfort seat from Spyder? Related question: In the past I had my non-heated...

    Riding Gear Poll

Chose ATGATT based on habits from motorcycle days. Haven't yet ridden a Spyder (except the one day Trike course). The ink is still wet on my 2023 Spyder RTL purchase and expecting to take delivery in a few days. Before I saw this thread I was considering only helmet/gloves for summer riding on...

Considering 2023 or 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky - some questions to help me decide/commit??

Made up my mind and wrapped up the purchase this afternoon. I really wanted the Red (marsala/platinum), so got the 2023 RTL. The great discounts and the 2% on 36 months financing were also irresistible. Bought a couple of accessories that I wanted in the sea-to-sky but not available in the RTL...

Considering 2023 or 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky - some questions to help me decide/commit??

Interesting note on screen turning off when you start moving. No one mentioned that before. Then how does one get the benefit of using Apple or Google maps for navigation? You will only be limited to audio, which you get with a 2023 model too. Did I misunderstand what you wrote about the screen...

Considering 2023 or 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky - some questions to help me decide/commit??

Thanks @3WINGS. I stopped by nearest dealer today and they are indeed eager to make deals. My ideal color choice is Red, so all things considered, I am leaning towards a 2023 RTL Marsala Red/Platinum. The price difference between that and the 2024 sea-to-sky at the other extreme is quite...

Considering 2023 or 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky - some questions to help me decide/commit??

Thank you everyone for your quick, informative responses. I initially thought there were several differences such as heated seats between the RT Limited and the RT sea-to-sky. On closer look, looks like the differences are: 1) aesthetic styling, 2) more comfortable seats, and 3) Adjustable side...

Considering 2023 or 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky - some questions to help me decide/commit??

I'm not new to motorcycling but new to the Spyder. Couple of years ago I was serious about getting one and took the mandatory trike endorsement training and ready to go. However, conditions changed, and I ended up deferring. I think I'm ready now. I'm set on an RT and most likely the fully...
