• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

While browsing through FB the other day, I saw a post in a Spyder group where someone had installed a bulkhead fitting for their battery maintainer cable, and it looked great. A far sight better than the state that mine was in, so I ordered the appropriate fitting & cable for the Optimate 3 and...

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

I posted a couple of weeks ago (in another thread) that I adjusted the belt tension. Post in thread 'What did you do to your Spyder today?' https://www.spyderlovers.com/threads/what-did-you-do-to-your-spyder-today.127194/post-1732298 We took it for a ride last night for the first time since...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

De-winterizing the Spyder today, and got most things done, but I can't find any information on how to lubricate the front suspension arms. There aren't any grease zerts for the bushings that I can find. Also looked and haven't found what to lubricate the parking brake mechanism and pivot point...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Over the last few days, I've installed a 5 pin plug and wire harness, adjusted the drive belt tension, aligned the belt tracking, and cleaned up some wiring under the pillion seat. We'll be ready to pull the trailer soon on a few shake down rides. The belt tension went smoothly, following the...

Installed some trailer cargo lights in our Time Out Trailer

We recently picked up a used Time Out trailer for a good price. I just finished converting it from the 7 pin round connector to a 5 pin flat, and installed some lights in the cargo area. We chose blue lights so that they wouldn't be blinding bright, and these LEDs are not disappointing. I tapped...

What kind of milage should I expect from a Vredestein rear tire?

Assuming the rear tires are marked similarly to the front tires, the wear indicators are found in the tread grooves that are marked with the VR logo.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I had trouble initially as well but found that resizing the picture while it was still in my phone made it possible to attach them to my post. Be sure to remember to attach as thumbnails, or you'll be reminded by the mods.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I'm curious how creative folks have been in finding places to mount or secure the Show Chrome fuse block. The area under the head lights has wire bundles & connections for most the auxiliary lighting that's been added, and there's still some room in there, but I'm wondering where else this style...

How do we add rider map to our Signature block?

The link from the outgoing platform doesn't work anymore. Is there an updated process to add a rider "States Visited" map on the new platform? Thanks in advance!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

It looks like I won't be able to use the adapter after all. The trailer has separate, dedicated lights for the turn signals, so unless I'm misreading the way the 4 pin plug is wired, I'm going to need to use a fuse block. Am I missing something?

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I can absolutely see the benefits of going your route. I look forward to reading your posts when you've wrapped your project up.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Thank you! The lights were made by TricLED, and you probably already know that most of the vendors mentioned in these threads market and sell their products.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Thank you checking and for sharing this info, I feel a lot better about everything! The Lamonster harness is also a 4 pin output, but I'll attach it to a 4 X 8 adapter that I'll secure to something on the rear. I haven't looked very closely at that step just yet.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I appreciate your recommendation, thank you. Can you share the mfr information for the fuse block you mentioned? Over on Lamonsters shop they sell a plug & play harness that looks very appealing for straight forward simplicity, and I'm leaning heavily towards getting that. I'll need to determine...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Picked up a 2019 Time Out XL1800 trailer today for great price. Local seller via FB Marketplace. It has several of the MFR upgrades & looks great. I towed it home with my truck and confirmed all the lights are working. It has the full size 8 pin wiring connector, but the seller included a small...
