• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After some Guidance on how to route wiring in my example?

It sounds to me like your thinking is "on the beam" and ahead of 99% of people who consider themselves electricians. My only contribution is to say that I would much rather add a wire to an existing harness than make up a new one. But I have done it both ways.

Does your Saddlebag need to be slammed to latch?

A drastic but workable solution: Remove the stock cables entirely. Clean and lube the latches. Wrap a piece of fishing wire leader around the place where the Bowden cable went to the latch. Bring the wire straight out through a small hole in the bodywork. Put a ring on it for finger pull...

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

As I see the problem, the big box store will charge the price of a top-quality motor oil for Rotella T6. The motorcycle dealer will jack up the price because he can.

    Mechanic Wanted in Florida

Recommendation of Central Florida Power Sports duly noted. If I demanded egg in my beer, the mechanic would be an independent in Greater Miami. Recognizing the likely futility of this, we are willing to make a trip to any other part of the state.

    Mechanic Wanted in Florida

My wife and I ride a 2020 RTL. Although there is nothing especially wrong with it, we would like it gone over by a good mechanic before taking a long trip. Do any of you folks have a suggestion in Florida?

2020 RTL in Asphalt Grey Metallic - does a Clear Coat go over the grey or Not?

On my wife's 2020 RTL in Asphalt Grey Metallic, I cleverly spilled brake fluid on the paint without noticing. Now I have an area of about six square inches to repaint. My question is: Does a clear coat go over the grey paint? Or is it left as it comes out of the rattle can?

Is Maintenance Access any easier on an F3S?

Thank you to everyone who replied. I'm not so anxious now.

Is Maintenance Access any easier on an F3S?

Every time I have to make even a minor repair to my wife's RTL, I have to remove a minimum of seven pieces of plastic first. Now she wants me to buy my own cycle. Is the F3S any easier to access?

Has anyone ridden a Spyder to Prudhoe Bay?

IMHO, Spyders do *not* like dirt roads. My wife managed to get stuck in a dirt driveway, for goodness sake.

Well, that didn't take long... First fault on my new 2023 RTL! Air Suspension Fault.

In the Bad Old Days, every garage had a "grease monkey" who wanted to learn to be a mechanic. Unfortunately, the "learn" circuit on Can-Am techs seems to be disconnected at the factory.

2021 RT Base rear Air Shock Losing air -anyone else?

It's not a matter of someone having this problem. It's a matter of *everyone* having this problem.

Is there a special Phone cord for 2020 RT glove box?

I just looked in our 2020 RTL and there are 2 cables in there. One is a female USB jack. To reach your phone, you will need a cable that goes from a regular-size USB plug to the mini or micro USB on your phone. This is probably the same cable you use to charge your phone at home. The second...

Goodbye solo riding - it's been good ta know ya. Ordering an F3S!

We ride a Spyder RTL and it has spoiled us for lesser motorcycles. I still have the balance to ride 2 wheels, but go "why bother?" IMHO, the Spyder RTL is the Cadillac limo of motorcycles.

    Bad Pun

Because my wife is so generous with the Purina, the pride of feral cats in my backyard has grown to seven members. I'm thinking of installing a cat delete pipe.

Anyone know how to add a strobe/flasher to RT Brake Lights?

Agree with JayBros. We have these on our cycle and they work fine.

The frequent lament of "they said my Spyder was not a real motorcycle!"

It takes a thick skin to be a motorcyclist. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes a doubly-thick skin to be a Spyder Ryder. I would put up with it happily if that skin was just VISIBLE to cagers.

1330cc Maintenance questions for a 2015 Spyder RT Limited

Brake fluid certainly does go bad slowly. It picks up moisture from the air. Changing the fluid after several years is easier than rebuilding calipers.

'21+ Radiator Fans not turning off - stuck relay! Blocked grills a cause?

Possible (not guaranteed) sequence of events: Bugs in the radiators cause fan motors to overheat. Overheated motors draw extra current. Extra current welds the relay contacts.

Has anyone come up with a Device to hold RT lid open?

At the Motorcycle Safety class they told me to always use my head. So I do. Were I shorter it would be a problem.

Taken the MSF 3-wheel course - Received my new license for my Spyder!

A tip if you can: Get one of the Rykers they usually use for the course. It's easier to navigate in confined spaces than the Spyder.
