• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone done a Cat Delete leaving stock muffler on?

Baldwin Iron Works pipe with their baffle inserted. I did drill a 3/8's" hole in that baffle disc. Using the stock muffler, it has a "tone" you can hear at idle and during operation. Kind of wish I had not drilled that little hole in the baffle but the small increase in sound is livable for me.

How do I put my 2022 F3-Ltd Special into Sport Mode?

Used Sport mode on my '22 "S" model this past Summer. Running with some other bikes, I turned it on. During a hard right-hand turn I "gassed it" and pulled the front right wheel up in the air. Turned it off and do not plan on using it again.

My new '23 F3 showed Trans Fault & Limp Home - Warranty Work!

Mine is also showing that “Transmission Failure” warning along with a !. Put it in gear and it goes away. Just returned form 90 mile mountain ride in the Smokies. Bike shifted and ran fine. ‘22 F3S with 2,300 miles on it after this ride. Bike shifts fine. In August, after I return home, will...

'19 F3S won't manually down shift or select reverse - heat related maybe? Ideas?

Dealer will not have problem replicating. Rode the “Dragon” today. Tried reverse multiple times and all were failures. Appreciate the damage idea. I see nothing and have a picture of it not really hanging down. Often get problems here posting as I just cannot figure out protocol. Thanks for...

'19 F3S won't manually down shift or select reverse - heat related maybe? Ideas?

F3S with No Reverse/Downshift - '22 with less than 2K mileage and 14 months of warranty left. Left Florida home for a month in Maggie Valley, NC. Soon as I unloaded the toy hauler it started the reverse issue. I can pull the lever back while the wife presses the reverse button and down shifter...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

Under 2K miles on mine. Good idea for me in a few more thousand. Others too. Thanks.

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

Your summary sure matches the information. Thanks. I did not know there was such a thing on my bike until the topic came up. Others called it a "tensioner" so I did. Then when I took off the belt guard and lifted the thing up it confirmed everything you said. Now my take is you should not be...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

REVISED KRIKIT READING Took the belt guard off after taking the bike for a short ride to go shopping. 37 mpg at the pump but I digress. With the belt off I took multiple readings from the top down. All were in the 260-270 ft. lbs reading. You can also see in this picture the belt looks...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

To get a belt reading from the top of the belt would require removal of the belt guard. Otherwise you cannot get your finger with Krikit gauge on top of the belt. I have been pushing up on the underside (flat) of the belt as it returns to the rear sprocket. The results vary with where I push up...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

I am going to "let it run". That tensioner is wider than the belt. Guessing I could maybe remove a shim or add one to where the tensioner is mounted to make up for that maybe 1/16-1/8" part of the belt it is missing. To me that's not worth the effort. As stated earlier... I am NOT going...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

Gee that is a surprise to me. The tensioner seems like it is riding fine and the belt seems both centered on the front pulley and has a gap from the inside on the rear. I guess that tensioner could be a little more "outside" but not much of an issue to me. The little Cricket gauge shows it to be...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

Same 2022 F3S but Manta Green in front of the same sign a couple weeks ago. Here is the picture of the belt tensioner from the factory. My lower belt tension is 85 ft. lbs. on my Cricket gauge under the bottom of the belt. Not changing it as it runs fine.

Re-installed the primary muffler (cat) - the noise @ I/state speeds was not for me!

BMW and Harley rider for over a million miles. My '07 FatBoy, with Reinheart 2-1 is loud. But Harley loud is a glorious sound. Spyder loud is crap and obnoxious. Yet, with the baffle IN, and that little hole drilled in the end cap, the wife and I liked the sound at idle. On the road we also did...

Re-installed the primary muffler (cat) - the noise @ I/state speeds was not for me!

Buffalo Iron Works WITH their baffle. At first we thought it was a little loud. Then quickly got used to it. I did take a small, maybe 1/8" drill and put a hole in the middle of that flat baffle end cap. Now the sound just seems right. Have not noticed any change in torque.

Is a replacement Lithium Battery the way to go? How have you installed yours?

The exact Model # is Shorai LFX36L3-BS12 Lithium-Iron Powersport Battery. This brand has an excellent reputation in motorcycles and is probably a premier choice. It is about $300.. The NOCO NLP20 sold by Lamonster and others is much less expensive with a good reputation.

Is a replacement Lithium Battery the way to go? How have you installed yours?

My new F3-S has the Yuasa. It sat at the dealer for a year before I bought it. At the first sign of an issue, I will get a LIFEPO 4. Lithium battery, if possible. If not, then just a regular Lithium one. I have them in my boat, on a Harley now for 6 years+ and on a Moto Guzzi. Never an issue...

2024 Spyder issues make me wonder if I should buy yet?

"Do not live in your fears". Mike Tomlin, the Steeler coach, often uses that quote. What the heck is wrong with a new 2024? From the beginning there have been people swearing at things about the Spyder. Same ones that sweared at their cars, appliances, TV's, phones etc. It is rare for owners...

An Embarrasing but funny story I have to share...

I never touch that kill switch on only of my bikes. Why? With my luck it would just be like your horrible experience. When the bike does not start now, that is the first thing I look for. Recently must have bumped it somehow and immediately found the issue.

    Choosing between 2019 F3T Ltd & 2023 F3T Ltd - any insights?

Enjoy the bike. Hope it is "straight up" for you and not sideways like the pictures.
