• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Cuba Spyderfest

Should be fine. It's not fancy but there are plenty of sleepin spots a hot shower and a real country breakfast courtesy of my aunt Aggie. When it gets closer to time I'll make the arrangements if that's what we want to do.

Looking for a place to ryde to this Sat?

If it's in Ft Mcoy it can't be that tough (There are only about 2 roads) I think I will try to make this. Looks like it is on the east side of Lake Kerr between 314 and 316 (way out n the forest!) Should be a great ride!

    OEM HID's blinding everyone!

Sounds like you just need to adjust them down some. Look for the little white palstic nut near the bottom of each light. 10mm if memory serves me. You have to remove the top side plastic then park the bike on level ground around 50 feet from a wall. Load it the way you ride it. Measure the...

    How about gloves?

I have the Tourmaster electrics that plug into my jacket. They work well but are pretty bulky. They are warm! I have a set of "Qwi" gloves that are for semi-cold weather and I love them. They claim a bunch of benefits but the best for me is the soft leather and simple lining. Not too bulky...

Hey Speeders- What system you using?

I have an Escort 8500 on my bike and it works OK. I have Valintine Ones in my cars and they are far better. (I mean WAY better) I could not justify the cost for the bike so I went with the 8500. If you want the best, get a V1

    helmets

"If it's not a full face, it's just a funny hat." Took a high side a few years back and did a flying squrell and landed on my face. (wearing a full face) when I came to a stop I got up and walked away. Front of helmet was destroyed. Full face everytime I ride (and I live in FL with no...

    Saturday Ride

I was just up that way yesterday. A friend was in town and brought his mid 60's BMW slash-2 and wanted to ride. We ended up eating lunch at Cherry Pockets Fish Camp on Lake Kissimee. Great destination!

Cool new GPS/Radar/Laser all in one

Bluetooth and Radar Detectors dont mix well due to the connection delay. (Ever notice when your phone rings and you have your BT ear bud in it does not beep till the second ring?) You would already be caught before you heard the warning. Now, if you were already listening to music or whatever...

    Spyder Stealer - Beware

You just need to make the shock "good enough" that there is no chance of a law suit ......30 amp 220 should do the trick!

    Spyder Hauling Question....

You might want to reconsider the trade in and here's why. While your trade is basicly worthless (Big white boxes are very hard to sell right now) so is the one your looking to buy (worthless) It might not cost you as much as you think it will. Those hydrolic rampy things in the previous posts...

    Should I be upset?

DPS Install takes about 2 hours.( if you've done it before and I would say that 90% of BRP techs have) In this case you should be able to wait on it. I would also report this incident to BRP (Read email Carlo) The least they could do is jump on it when you arrive. I am thinking this might be...

    Cuba Spyderfest

I am going but not in one day. I have family in Dothan AL so might make that a stop over spot. Too early for these details for me. Have reservations for Wednesday night. So I will be there Wednesday somehow.

Cold weather Riding Jackets, Pants and Gloves

Wow, I really can't believe no one has mentioned electric liners. When I was in Asheville for 3 years I bought the Tourmaster electric jacket and gloves. Made all the difference for me. With these you dont need all the bulk for multiple layers. Just a riding jacket over it. I have found that...

    West Coast PS in Clearwater

Just had my DPS installed and a new rear tire installed (at 10,000 miles) I have to comment on how great the service is from West Coast Powersports. I have to drive by 2 Spyder Dealers to get to West Coast and will do it every time! Ready when promised, Fixed right the first time, No price...

    LED's

:agree: HID's only draw 35 watts (once they are running) as compared to 55 for the halogens (Thats 40 watts saved!) and they are like having Aircraft Landing Lights! I have HID's in both Headlights and fogs. I can make a squrill's eyes shine at 2 miles! If properly adjusted (on low beam)...

    plate relocate after fender removal

Check my photos. I mounted it up high in the rear and then added tail lights as it blocked the stockers. If you mountit low enough to clear the lights it will hit the tire. On the side sounds like a good option. Caution: Some states (FL for one) require it to be mounted upright so stay away from...
