• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What parts & oil needed for Changing oil in 2012 RTL semi-auto?

I thought I went back pretty far, but obviously not enough. Thanks.

What parts & oil needed for Changing oil in 2012 RTL semi-auto?

Basically, I'm looking for a DIY oil change sticky or something like that. I'm not having much luck finding one. I have seen a good "how to" video on YouTube before, and I'm sure I can find it again. I'm looking for additional information, such as parts I will need, where to get them for a...

998cc My current ride is a 2011 RT - is the 1330 that much better?

I have ridden both. I was not really impressed with the larger engine. Maybe it is a little better, but I would definitely not pay a few thousand dollars for the "upgrade".

Tried to start the old 2012 RTL today

After three weeks of bad weather, it started right up! These are quality machines. One of the best vehicles I have owned. Only 5,500 miles, too. I need room in the garage, so I will probably sell it this spring. I'm going to miss it for sure.

2012 model RTL, how much oil...

What I mean is, apples to apples. Checking it the same way, under the same conditions. It took one quart. I've confirmed it. And I did not add a quart all at once. I'm checking it just like the manual says. Not cold, not 2 hours later. Under these conditions, it has been consistent for me.

2012 model RTL, how much oil...

I'm happy to report that my oil- checking process is repeatable. I do it exactly as the owners manual says. So that doesn't seem to be a problem. The answer to my question is one quart, for future reference. I have ridden about 1200 miles since I bought the RTL. It was supposedly serviced...

2013 SM5 - Clutch not working after oil change - any ideas?

Yes, the faulty cause and effect relationship. We have all fallen for it. Just because two things happen, does not mean that one causes the other. I would have had the same though process as you. Glad you got it sorted out.

2012 model RTL, how much oil...

How much oil... to the top of from the low point on the dipstick? I just don't want to overfill it.

2022 RT Rims are HARD TO CLEAN! What do you do?

You can buy brushes of all sizes to clean wheels. They are the best way, in my opinion.

Using thumb shifter - my solution to a reach issue.

I'd rather shift with my foot, but it is what it is. My thumb is double jointed and it was not comfortable to use the thumb shifter for me. Until now. I used to reach my thumb down to the area where I put the "X". Now I keep my thumb close to the grip and push on the top of the paddle, where...

Don't like having to turn wheels to lock

I just don't put anything valuable in there. If I ever do, I will lock it. I normally park in the garage so no need to lock it there. And I work on a secure army base so not much vehicle theft.

Hi Ladies! Hot weather riding pants recommendations?

I will wet my pants with water up in the thigh area and also my shirt around the shoulders. Feels very good when it is hot.

What to do with catalytic converter? Sell it, or keep it?

You who delete them, do you know what it does? I could not see going out of my way to make more pollution.

Do Can Am Spyders have a Reserve Tank???

I just ran mine about 15 miles after the low fuel light came on and I could only get 5 gallons in it. I assume I had about a gallon left still. If your fuel gauge is working, there is no reason to run out of gas. You have plenty of chances to get gas before running out. If you are way out in...

My new baby - which gas? 87, E10, or is 91 octane better?

I just filled up with 93 octane with no ethanol!!! Woohoo!!!

What’s your average MPG using what Octane Fuel?

Gas without ethanol will get better mileage but I do not think octane will affect mpg enough to notice. At least I do not see why it would.

    Too hot to ride????

If you do it, wear a long sleeved shirt and keep it wet. Wet the thighs of your pants, also. You can wear a perforated jacket if you want protection (recommended). Drink lots of water! It is easy to get dehydrated in those conditions.

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

I would have recommended an RTL in a heartbeat. I'm intrigued by the F3 recommendations. Why, other than reduced cost?

Front tyre sizes. How big can you go? Whats best?

In the end, the mold determines the final tire dimensions for a given wheel and inflation pressure. But every tire size has tolerances. The tire manufactures do have control over it, but the size will vary within those tolerances. For example, if a certain tire maker wants to save on...
