• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Riding Gear Poll

Having been a motorcycle instructor for many years with the Canada Safety Council it is safety first for me, ATGATT. Also having worked with the local traffic police putting together motorcycle accident statistics, after going to many accident scenes it really drives the point home about ATGATT...

    A ride to Billy Burgers

It is a good one and the other amazing thing is if you get there before 9:00Am to order it is only $9.00 CND, that is only $3.00 US with the current exchange rate, LOL ( it is actually $6.75 US) which is one hell of a deal these days.

    A ride to Billy Burgers

As the snow is coming down in Calgary Alberta I liked to think of a great breakfast place we ride to at least a couple time a month in the summer. It is called Maesie's Nook in Didsbury Alberta.

Venting about Tire wear and alignment...

Glad you made it home safely. At the risk of getting beat up regarding tire types used I did want to pass on my experience with the Kenda OEM tires. From all the tire information on the Kendas I guess I fall into the group of one of the lucky ones with the original OEM tires. I just had them...

Anyone ever found corrosion inside their fuse box; what’s the solution?

I wanted to pass alone my experience, as you mention riding in the rain and washing the bike. I checked the outer fuse cover box after I had read about the issue in another tread. I noticed I was getting water inside the outer fuse cover box in various small amounts. When I checked the inner...

Is there a brake light recall now?

Just spoke with BRP Canada and it looks like I am still on the brake light re-call list. In reading the re-call bulletin for the 2022 RTL they will replace the spring on the brake light switch.

Bugs !@#$@# What will get them off?!

Plus 1 on BajaRon using a warm water wet cloth/towel, have been doing the same thing for years, use the same process on the shield. A quick wax on the body work and Plexis on the windshield makes it even easier and good to go for next ride.

Is there a brake light recall now?

Last August 2022 about a week after I picked up the new RTL I noticed the brake light was staying on even after the bike was turned off. Started moving the brake pedal and heard a faint click. As I looked under the foot board and engaged the brake pedal I could see that the plunger on the brake...

Sorry, my point was to clarify using any oil that meets the specs required, from the lowest priced to the highest priced, from manufacturer's recommended to supposed far better oils from a spec sheet point, from a lab tested sample to what ever, use what you feel comfortable with is what I...

Anyone else a loner and not a group rider?

98% of the time its myself and my favorite passenger for over 40 years of 2 wheeled, now 3 wheeled riding. It offers the most flexibility to travel how we like and as someone mentioned having that second set of eyes as you get older is great. As for groups I only do this if I am asked to be a...

What’s your best memory/story (so far) with your Spyder/Ryker ??

We just picked up our first Spyder, 2022 RTL in August 2022. Managed to get our first good trip in from Calgary to Vancouver Island BC to visit my sister and friends, about 3,600 KM round trip. Picture is on the Duffy Lake Road outside of Lillooet BC, like to travel the back roads. Have not...

Any TPMS recommendatons that include a monitor?

In my experience 45 years of riding motorcycles and now the Spyder, checking tire pressures is the most overlooked pre-ride inspection thing out there. As my wife and I toured over the years I would assist many others in checking their tire pressures and found most times they were not correct...

Battery Tenders - should you use them or not?

I use battery maintainer for the long winter storage months in Alberta. Put battery maintainer on once a month for about 2 days then take it off which helps my peace of mind in not leaving it on all the time and maybe having some electrical/battery issues. I also add fuel stabilizer, pump the...

2022 Spyder RTL with uneven heat in front grips - ideas why?

Mbv I have the exact same issue on my 2022 RTL, you can definitely feel the difference in heat between left and right grips. For me it will be on the list of things to check on the first service. Randy
