• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can't find a part # for Windshield vent on BRP Website? Any better place to check?

I attempted to upload a picture but for some reason I am unable to get beyond selecting the file. The link provided by Safecracker, above, is the windshield I have on my 2020 RTL. No way in hell I am going to by an entire replacement shield. Cheers!

Can't find a part # for Windshield vent on BRP Website? Any better place to check?

Update! No I did not find the part number. I was able to use #8, 3/4 inch stainless steel screws to get everything back together (for now). There was enough of the female side for the screws to get a good hold of. Once again I escaped Murphy's grasp. I looked up the part # on the windshield and...

Can't find a part # for Windshield vent on BRP Website? Any better place to check?

Hello everyone! I was out for a short ride this morning and noticed the adjustable vent on my windshield was broken. 3 out of the 4 mounting screw plastic receivers were broken. I have the two part numbers stamped into the plastic. Front panel for the windshield is 705005913 (the part I...

    Poor gas tank design

Fuel pump nozzles are designed for cars/trucks that have a longer filling pipe to the tank. You have the same situation when filling a gas can. I agree with the posted information above about some stations to avoid since they don't have a slower fill option. Still Love the Spyder anyway. :ohyea:

Need to avoid clipping the nose Loading a Spyder on a trailer - ideas?

Back the trailer up to a curb and drop the ramp on it. Flattens out the angle plenty.

Dealer says Demo Rides are not possible - any suggestions?

Hi Tango, Thanks for the info and heads up on the dealing in Daytona. I was going to check them out once I get moved and ride the SpYder down from Durham NC. Are there any SpYder Clubs in the Daytona Beach area that you belong to or ride with? Thanks, Dan

2020+ TRUNK Strut Issues - a new solution

I had mine replaced a few months ago under the extended warranty on our 2020 RTL. Mechanic told me there was a bad batch of these things released. Had the same issue with the drivers seat too. Both are rock solid for holding the lid/seat up.

American Legion Florida Unity Ride - any other Spyders going?

I don't get moved in to my new home in Daytona Beach until mid May. Hope to see this posted next year so I can participate. I have a guy out of the service who reports to me currently who just had a spell dealing with PTSD. He's a young Marine, a great tech and has a full life ahead of him. I...

Check Eng and Parking Brake warning in dash - check Fuse #1

I have found two wiring issues that fortunately were averted before problems happened. One of them would have been bad with a wire getting cut near a harness connector. Both were found by pure luck. I have a 2020 RTL. First one was on the right side of the machine basically just under your...

I was stupid! Battery dead at just 3 years!

2020 RTL is now officially owned 2 years this January. I wasn't going to get a tender since we rode so much last year. Well this Fall/Winnter hasn't allowed us to much ride time. Mostly due to rain. :cus: Few months ago I decided to give Eagle 1 a start. Heart dropped when it barely started...

Watch for Wires rubbing against frame getting cut!

Bought it brand new from the dealer, 62 miles on it. I was a little surprised by them too. I will be taking a lot of Tupperware off soon. Going to install saddle bag lights, rear lights on front fenders both going to a power distribution module. I plan on tracing out what the connectors are for.

    Anyone shipped their Spyder?

I will be moving from Northern Virginia to Daytona Beach Florida this coming Spring. Has anyone shipped their machine(s)? What service or company did you use? I looked in to taking it down on the Auto Train but they do not allow Can-Am machines. No Spyders, Rykers or Slingshots. Now I know...

Watch for Wires rubbing against frame getting cut!

Yes, just pull the panel and there should be two harnesses on the Left-hand side. One white and one black. About a month ago I found a bullet connector separating due to another wire bundle pressing down on the connectors. That connection is behind the first pull off panel. I created YouTube...

Watch for Wires rubbing against frame getting cut!

I have a 2020 RTL and pulled the panel above the Frunk and below the windshield. I am going to install an additional light power distro block and wanted to have a look at where it will sit. I pulled the panel and found two wire harness connectors. The black one was sitting vertically; the wires...
