• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are you using for a keyring?

We have the Metalman one from Amazon at $29. Have used it since 2021. The strap actually fits on my wrist like a bracelet but we also added a clip so we could hook it to the zipper pull of our moto jackets or on a belt loop.

Turn signal button takes a hard push and Hold! Any suggestions?

We do have similar taste in bike color, right?! ;) Thanks for the heads up on the signature! Yes, you are right. It just doesn't want to activate the signal unless we push to the left REALLY hard and hold it there for a bit. Sometimes that doesn't even make it come on. The parts guy and I...

Turn signal button takes a hard push and Hold! Any suggestions?

That's what I thought too! Unfortunately in reading the details of the warranty, it does not cover those sorts of things. Bummer!

Turn signal button takes a hard push and Hold! Any suggestions?

Thanks. Turning the switch "on" when making a left hand turn is the issue. It has no trouble turning off after making the turn. I do like the thought of the dry silicone spray. Who knows? It just may be a bit "sticky" and needing some lube.

Turn signal button takes a hard push and Hold! Any suggestions?

We are excited to have upgraded from our 2011 RTL to a 2020 RTL last fall. We love the new bike but are having problems with the turn button. Turning to the right is OK but it takes a REALLY hard push and hold to the left and may or may not finally engage. A safety issue for sure! We've heard...

RT Seat size change, what year did it happen?

The one we did the test ride on would have been either a 2020 or 2021. I must admit, since it was the first time on a Spyder of any sort, it could have very well had the "comfort seat". I just know that any of the ones we considered after that which were in the 2010-2012 range, had a much...

RT Seat size change, what year did it happen?

Just wondered if anyone knows what year the Spyder RT Limited changed the passenger seat length? We did a test ride on a newer model before we bought our first RTL. When we tried out the older models, we found that the passenger seat was shorter in length, front to back. Does anyone know what...

First road trip coming up - any last minute Words of Wisdom?

We carry a fold-up reflective safety triangle just in case of a stop along the road. Also, a strong beam flashlight that can be set to strobe if needed or can be set up to light a specific area if tire work is needed at night. We attached battery operated lights inside the trunk and in the frunk...

2020+ RTL seat rain cover - what are you using?

If you want something to be under you, while riding, then I'm not sure unless you have something custom-made which wouldn't be slippery. Otherwise, I too carry a big lawn and leaf bag. It covers just fine and I just tuck the excess under the seat before closing it. Also nice because we can keep...

Need a Seat Cushion for my 2022 RTL - any suggestions?

We cut some seat-sized pieces of memory foam (later switched out the memory foam for some Egg Sitter gel cushions) and put them under a couple of sheepskins from IKEA. Cool and comfy for long rides!

2020 Top Box Will Not Remain Open - any solutions?

For the trunk problem, Pierre at canamspyderaccessories.com has a $35 piece that you can add onto the hinge area to hold it up. Pops into place when you lift it up and then you just pop it out when ready to close it.... I don't know that this will work on the trunks of the newer models though...

Recommendations wanted - Best cover for 22 RT?

How about covering the seat with aluminum foil when you are storing it? Cats get freaked out when they jump up and land on it. Another idea is to cover the seat with a really large garbage can bag. The plastic will likely not be very comfy for a cat and if they still jump onto it, it should be a...

998cc My current ride is a 2011 RT - is the 1330 that much better?

We ride a 2011 RTL as well. Love it! We rented a 2018/1330cc when on a trip this past spring and truthfully, we didn't notice anything that much more "special" about it, at least as far as the ride or extra power. Our 2011 is one that the mechanics generally tell us is "hard to find anything...

To Install shed insulation or not? Storing 2022 RTL

Insulation probably isn't as important as getting electricity to it. With Midwest winter temps, you definitely want a battery tender on it!

Winterizing questions - how to prepare Spyder for cold storage?

Sorry if this has been posted in the past, but my search didn't really show anything that was specific to this situation. Here in the snowy north, we generally store our bikes for about 5 months (Nov-Mar)...always in climate controlled conditions and plugged into a tender. This year, we will...

Blue arrow switches, passenger’s right hand grip? 2015 Spyder RTS

Ours controls the radio station choices (side to side) and volume (up and down) on the bike only. We do like to listen to the radio on our Cardo Packtalk units when doing highway speeds, but that's something that comes as part of Cardo. That button configuration doesn't change anything on those...

adjustable windshield arm broke! Any alternatives to entire motor/assy?

I took a good look at our 2011 last fall after seeing a post warning about this potential on the older models. Sure enough....our "dog bone part" was beginning to crack. I ordered one from Pierre at.... https://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-series-replacement-arm-for-windshield-black/ and...

What options to replace driver foot pegs for Floorboards?

We have a 2011 that had pegs but we wanted floorboards too. There were nice looking 6 1/4" long ones from Lamonster ..... https://www.lamonstergarage.com/commander-driver-floorboards-can-am-spyder-rt-lamonster/ .....but we went with some longer ones from Pierre at canamspyderaccessories.com...
