• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2024 RTL vs. 2020 RTL

In October we traded our 2020 RTL for a new, 2024 RTL red Platinum edition, and got some end of season discounts. It's a similar ride, but some differences. The touch screen dash will take some getting used to, but the best thing I've found that BRP did was to move the Mode switch into the...

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

Hi all, 2020 RT-L, 36,000 KM., and usually 2 up. Yesterday I noticed what I'll call a high frequency vibration, almost like a light buzzing, and feel it through the seat, and also in the handlebars. At 90- 95 KM, so near 60 MPH. Checked today, rear tire looks good, correct pressure. Belt seems...

Anyone found a better 2020+ RT Horn Location?

I had posted this some time ago, of my install of a Wolo air horn on our 2020 RT-L. I didn't want it buried under the Tupperware, so hung it out front. Takes a bit of doing, also to switch the stock horn wires over the the Wolo relay, but fits in there and works just fine. Glen

Which one of these RT's to choose?? Choice now made - Deal Done!

Hi Stephanie, My first question is - did you test ride the 2016 Spyder? That would be the best way to compare, as to how the body style suits YOU. My wife and I were considering trading our heavy Yamaha cruiser in on a Spyder in 2018, and we went to a Dealer, who let us test ride both the F-3...

Do you leave the Parking brake on during storage?

Same here, plus full tank w/stabilizer, and trickle charge the battery once a month. Also in my rock cold garage in Ontario, I add 5+ psi to the tires, all of which are sitting on plywood squares to keep them off the cement. A little OCD I guess. As an aside, when buying our 2020 RT-L, I...

Any suggestions for a cup holder for these armrests?

For our 2020 RT-L, somewhere on Amazon I purchased a Kuryakyn Spyder passenger drink holder, part # 1785. Now that number doesn't show on the Kuryakin website, so I don't know if it's still available, or what model it originally fit. It will squeeze onto the passenger handrail, behind the...

    Tach quit - 2020 RT-L

Thanks Flyboy2121 and JayBros for the suggestions. Just tried it now, and the numbers and needle are back !! Damn touchy electronics. I'll remember about disconnecting the battery tho - I have to do that with my modem when my internet goes down. THX again.

    Tach quit - 2020 RT-L

This afternoon my tach quit - just showing a 0, and the needle isn't moving either. Anything I should be looking at ? Any suggestions ? Really don't want the 2 hour one way trip to my Dealer if it might be just a fuse. THX.

2020 RT Limited - rpm/whining noise issue. Anyone else?

Me too !! New front drive sprocket installed yesterday, noise is mostly gone. A tiny bit of it between 76 and 78 k.p.h., but it disappears quickly. Under Warranty as well. That noise was a " burr under my saddle ", so glad BRP solved it, and that I used the info. I found on this Forum when I...

Anyone else notice a Noise while riding 45-50 mph?

Does anyone have the number of that T.S.B.? My Dealer had no idea of what I was talking about when I mentioned a 'white' pulley. THX.

2020 RT Limited - rpm/whining noise issue. Anyone else?

Update; 1st service done. I don't know if they adjusted the belt, but I think the 'pulsing' noise is now louder, and hearing it at higher speeds too. The Tech. said " All the newer Spyders have that whine" , that doesn't mean that they SHOULD ! I asked about the pulley upgrade, but they could...

Wolo air horn for 2020 RT-L

My Wolo outlets are pointed down, just ahead of that 'wing' that comes down, and the rest of the horn is wedged behind that.

Wolo air horn for 2020 RT-L

Yes, for the Wolo I mounted out front. Relay sits on the floor of the frunk, under the liner.

2020 RT Limited - rpm/whining noise issue. Anyone else?

Our 2020 RT-L has 2 separate whine noises. There's a pulsing type of noise between 78 - 82 Kmh, 48 - 51 mph, which by this Forum is a drive pulley/belt noise. That one I can live with, as it acts as an 'audio' speedometer - if I hear it, then I'm doing the posted 80 Km. speed limit. The other...

Wolo air horn for 2020 RT-L

O.K., so first - I didn't realize that the stock horn is wired live all the time, even with the key OFF. So now I can't figure out how to run BOTH horns at the same time. So I just disconnected and extended the stock horn wires through a small loom out into the frunk, and hooked them up to the...

Wolo air horn for 2020 RT-L

OK folks, I finally got the Wolo mounted out front, where I wanted it. Still too cold in my garage to do the wiring, but I plan on 12 ga. wire from battery to relay, relay to horn, and all grounds. I'm going to tap the existing horn Positive wire and use that to trigger the relay for the Wolo...

2020 RT limited. Has anyone else installed factory passenger arm rests

I think it would also be good if these armrests pivoted straight UP as well. Just a bit in the way when my wife feels she needs the grab bars.

Wolo air horn for 2020 RT-L

Thanks guys, looks like replacing the stock horn in its place would be a lot easier than trying to hang the Wolo out front.

Wolo air horn for 2020 RT-L

New forum member, and new Spyder owner. Has anyone replaced the rather lame stock horn with a Wolo or other air horn ? I haven't yet searched under the plastic to find the stock horn, but I was wondering about putting the air horn out front in one of the air intakes for the rads. I don't know...

Hey Ya'll We Got A New Member! Lets welcome Bluewater to SL

New member Thanks for accepting me into the Spyderlovers community. A couple factors contributed to our decision to trade the big cruiser in on a 2020 Spyder RT Limited, and we feel that we've made the right decision for us. Took delivery in October, so only about 1700 Km.s on before its...
