• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got the Spyder out of summer storage after 5 months!

Took another early morning ride in the tweetsies. Fueled up at Circle K in Gold Canyon and reset the clock to 6:37, then rode to Tortilla Flats and back 41 miles arriving home at 7:47. Lots of 15 and 20 MPH painted on the corners on this road. This is a very popular bike ride in the East...

Got the Spyder out of summer storage after 5 months!

Yes when I bought it in January 2024.

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

I had a 1978 KZ650SR in the late 70's early 80's, little brother to the KZ900. My cousin had a KZ900, and he could do a wheelie any gear. Two pictures on the left were on the Kingston Washington ferry dock.

Got the Spyder out of summer storage after 5 months!

Also, I took two blue (12g) ring style terminal ends, removed the insulator piece, and installed them on the battery bolts sticking forward, to make a better place to clamp on the jump pack cables in the future.

20,000 miles and still have OEM front tires

I have been riding on Vredesteins in hot AZ weather without an issue.

20,000 miles and still have OEM front tires

My little shakedown ride early this morning reminded me on how much I like the handling of my 2018 with Elka Stage 1 shocks (installed by the original owner), Vredestein front tires, General tire out the back, and of course your sway bar. Lots of fun for an 81 year old kid at heart. Of course I...

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

The segment from Fort Bragg to Leggett is a workout. I did a bucket list ride on the coast in May of 2024, Highway North of San Francisco and 101 into Washington before turning inland. I spent my last year and a half in the USCG Loran Station at Point Arena, so I have a lot of miles logged on...

Got the Spyder out of summer storage after 5 months!

It was on a battery tender; however, it would not start. So I used jump pack to start it. Took it for a 1.5 hour ride to Saguaro Lake and back to Gold Canyon. Shut it off and it still will not start. The Battery was replaced with a Power Source WP 50-N18L-A3 sealed battery in October of 2023 by...

New Owner of a 2024 Sea to Sky.

Some switch to F3 handlebars to resolve the end hitting one's upper leg. When I took my trike class on a new 2020 RTL I had that issue. I am 6'2" down from a young 6'4". Don't know if that applies to the new generation handlebars.

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

The sway bar and some Vredesteins on the front will really change things to the better.

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

I started in the fall on 2020 with a 2018 RTL Chrome: 1. Federal Formoza AZ1 front tires and General out back handling improved. 2. BajaRon sway bar handling improved more. 3. Vredestein Quartac tires handling improved even more. Even at 81 I still like twisty roads.

Any ideas on adding an aftermarket USB for phone charging during travels on our 2017 RT?

Time for a class in voltage vs current, how to measure each!

Help - new tires and wheel speed sensor errors - Limp Mode with Codes C006C, C003A, C1290, & P2159. Anyone else? Any advice?

I think that the tire thing comes directly from BRP/Kenda via the dealer network. It appears to me to be a restraint of trade issue, not allowing other vendors to provide their product.

The lead Spyder mechanic there is very good. He puts out a lot of Youtube videos on the Spyder.

Is the Canyon Riding position narrower than the RT's? Enough to notice & stop cramping hips?

Decreased storage on the Canyon vs the RT/F3 and a 4000 mile ride?! RU you going to sleep at a laundry mat ever other night? Just staying!

I HATE Vapor recovery (ECO) gasoline pump nozzles! Is this just "my issue" only? Anyone else? What do you do to avoid this?

You can flood the EVAP canister with gas by putting that much gas in a Spyder.
