• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

Every time. Fingerless gloves when it is warm. Would feel naked without them. They do give protection against bugs and kicked up pebbles.

In 50+ year of riding, I never got more than 12K on a motorcycle rear tire, 15K sounds pretty good to me,

What are you paying for insurance? Who are you insured with?

Yikes! Just got my insurance renewal quote from Geico. Full coverage went from $633 to $1030!! Thats an increase of over 60%! I am in California where rates are higher, but this is ridiculous. Huge increases in comprehensive and collision. Are others seeing this kind of increase in their insurance?

To Choose a Blind Spot Mirror or a Blind Spot Detector - or Both?

Some of us have very limited neck movement and cannot look over the shoulder so easily. I use a 2 inch round blind spot mirror stuck to the upper outside corner of each mirror. Not sure if I would trust a proximity detector.

    Replacement Gas Cap for F3T?

Relacing the gas cap with the one from Lamonster was one of the first things I did to my F3L. Makes it so much easier to fill the tank and much better looking as well. Can't really se a need for a locking cap anyway.

2019 F3T mirror covers popping off while riding.

I also had a mirror cover pop off when I hit a really bad pothole that I couldn't avoid when rounding a turn on a back road. Didn't even notice it was gone for a couple of days, The only solution I could think of is to pop them off, then use epoxy on the on the clips when popping them back on.

Brand new 2023 S2S Clunks going into Reverse - is this OK?

I remember the early Goldwings were quite famous for the "Honda clunk" when shifting into first. Did not seem to affect the reliability.

Questioning wearing Ear Plugs while riding

I can attest to that. I rode for years without them. After about 25 years I found my hearing down about 50 percent. I now always wear them to save what hearing I have left. Most earplugs will let enough sound through for situational awareness. I found these to be the best for me...

Anyone replace the stock antenna on an F3-T or Limited?

I replaced mine with a stubby so I can get the cover on easier. I don't recall any problem with the change, but it was a few years ago.

Any suggestions for Blind spot mirrors?

Simple 2 inch stick-on blind spot mirrors work for me. Available at any auto parts store.

Its hard to get off 2 two wheels and onto three.

Went through the same thing. Had to give up my CTX700 when even that got too heavy for my legs. You may not enjoy riding the Spyder as much as the two-wheeler. I certainly don't. But its way better than not riding at all.

Noticed any (other?) improvements after the Front Sprocket Recall?

After the recall replacement I also seemed to be getting a smoother ride. I thought it might just be imagination due to removal of a stress factor. Glad to see others notice a positive change. Also there was a slight but noticeable vibration at 3500 RPM that I KNOW is gone.

rear tire valve stem >:-/ - any ideas how to actually add air!?

I have an air pump with a pressure gauge. Just screw it on and push a button. Air loss on unscrewing is miniscule. Most of the time I can get the hose on where it sits, but occasionally I need to move the trike a bit to get to the stem. The hardest part for me is getting down, then back up from...
