• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Just Reminiscing...

Hi, Hoosier Ryders... Just checking in, for old times sake. Spyder long gone, as I mentioned previously, because of diabetes problems. Still miss it...but "funny noises" from my elderly Buick dictated I purchase a new car instead. Glad to see the Spyder community still romping along. Sure miss...

End of the Ride - Thanks for the Memories...

Exposure to herbicide Agent Orange. III Corps, where I was at, was one of two of the most heavily-sprayed areas in Vietnam. Not just US veteran suffer from it, but also, thousands of Vietnam children and families. Probably the most tragic side-effect of that wretched war.

Well...it's over. My beloved yellow '09 SE5 went to auction last week in Fort Wayne.:( Sold for $8500 to some lucky person. Still have residual payments to IFCU, but can easily pay that. Lotsa memories...but my dream of riding from Indiana home to my beloved Oregon is kaput. Diabetes...that...

Well, this is interesting...went to LaMonster's erstwhile "updated BRP Dealers List for Indiana". All I get is an HTTP404 message...saying that page doesn't exist.:banghead: Thought my nearest dealer was in Peru...has BRP deserted the Hoosier State?:dontknow:

    If you live in Indiana

Hi, Everyone....still in Flora...and still Spyderless.:sour: However, becoming increasingly distrustful of my credit union. No longer convinced they're trying to sell my SE-5 in earnest...it has been seven months...yet, I kept up my payments on it.:gaah:So, I'm headed down there tomorrow...am...

    Tuesday the 12th

Oops...forgot Dealer's Name... Well, fudge...after Action Motorsports went toes up, a dealer in Peru took the dealership. But, I think that firm was sold, thus now under new ownership. He's not listed on the so-called "updated" dealers list for Indiana. Can anyone enlighten me? P.S. Spyder...

    Adios, Spyder...Thanks For The Memories

Sorry to say...I've had to give up my Spyder. Rode it back to the credit union last Tuesday.:( Problem wasn't finances. The problem was my diabetes, a souvenir of Vietnam. Numbness in my feet spread to the point I couldn't tell where my right foot was. Drivers/riders behind me saw my taillight...

Welcome! Hi, Folks...welcome to the insanity - er, Spyder riding.;) If you get up here to Carroll County, please stop by. Will be glad to meet and greet...and even put you up for the night. Haven't gotten much riding in for some time; my wife is wracked by fibromyalgia and arthritis. Thus, no...

    Puzzled...

I've been ranting about moving back to Oregon, after my spouse retires. We decided against the Bend-Redmond area, as housing prices were too outrageous to consider. Now eyeballing Wallowa County, and/or Prairie City...guaranteed I'll likely never see a Spyder in those parts.:joke:

    Is it too early?

Sorry, gang...not going to Cuba...have a previous engagement I'd forgotten about. Sigh...and, in all candor, I'm still not comfortable about taking my Spyder on a long-distance trip.:dontknow: At least...not solo...:sour:

    Well...pray for good weather tomorrow.

I know the feeling. Took my Spyder in for its DPS recall, the second week of January. Omigawd, that was a hideous ride...even bundled up, and hiding below my windshield. Completely turned me off on riding a Spyder, or any other open vehicle, during winter!:gaah:

1st Ride of the Year 2011

Rode my '09 SE5 home from Action Motorsports in Lafayette today. (Had the DPS recall done last week.) Outside temperature 23 degrees...not my idea of fun, but at least I was dressed for it. Lotsa odd looks from the cage drivers, but that's nothing new...;)

    NUTTY OLD MAN...

Rode my Spyder 28 miles last week, outside temperature 17 F, so my dealer could do the DPS update. Rode it home today, outside temperature 25 degrees. At age 68.5, I guess that make me another Nutty Old Guy.:joke:
