• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To do….or not to do? Should I replace these BEFORE they fail?

You could go with the best of both worlds - buy the parts, replace them if they fail. Of course that leaves open the question - should you buy a complete replacement machine so that, no matter what fails, you have the part? To each their own level of paranoia I guess....

2024 RT Ltd display shuts off - back to dealer!

Theres a wireless bluetooth adapter from QuadLock I'm using in my car: https://www.quadlockcase.com/collections/accessories/products/wireless-carplay-adaptor?variant=42203608514731 Don't see any obvious reason it wouldn't work on the trike, but I haven't traded up from my '20 RTL. Yet.

    Thankyou veterans!

It isn't because of those of us who are here. It's because of those of us who aren't. I spent 29 years in service to the Crown, in part to help assure that my children need never face war. I’m retired and our world is forgetting. I am afraid for my children. The world is forgetting , but I...

Dealer notifications on new 2024's & upgrades arriving on August 20th.

+1 I love my 20 RTL but I had to add a Bestem waterproof carplay unit. I could get the BRP go to work, occasionally, unreliably. The carplay unit is flawless, behaves just like the carplay in my cars.

    Just Thinking Out Loud

It's easier to ask than to look something up. The risk is whether the person who answers the question has any idea what they're talking about. There are WAY to many non-expert "Expert Opinions".

What Oil Frequency and Oil Type do you use?

I've added Apple Carplay - Who has mounted cameras, and where?

I've installed "Motorcycle GPS with Carplay and Android Auto, Waterproof and Anti-Shake, Front and Rearview Recorder, GPS Navigation (for iPhone)". Found it on Amazon. Powered from the accessory plug. Comes with a front and rear camera. Who has mounted cameras, and where? Kit came with some...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I finally found it - the half-cover for my Spyder!

I don't often lose things but, when I do, it's because my wife moved it.

Should I add Balance beads - Or just wing it? yes/no?

Very few tire/rim combinations are naturally balanced when mounted. If yours is naturally balanced (very unlikely) and you put the beads in they'll spread evenly and you'll still be balanced. If you're not naturally balanced (likely) the beads will spread to balance and you'll be balanced...

    Random thought for the day

This is why the family rule for my children is "have your car license for 2 years before taking the motorcycle safety course" Wanted my children to learn what the road-idiots could do while they had some metal around them, so they'd have some idea what to watch for when riding.

Anyone got any Additional Security for their Top Case??

Locks tell honest people you don't want them to open your case. It's plastic. 1 or 2 good smacks, its open and broken. I don't leave anything in my cases I can't afford to lose. That said, haven't had any theft (so far). Hope I didn't just jinx my luck.

looking for some opinions on acceptable amount of miles when buying used..

It's not the miles. Properly cared for Spyders run forever. I'd do a thorough examination of visible frame and plastics, look for good maintenance records (if dealer done, the dealer can confirm), check the VIN with a dealer to verify recalls are complete, ask about transferrable extended...

Do you think a Spyder is for me? Need some advice from the Spyder Pros

I ride whenever weather permits, from spring melt to first snow. I tell my family it's because taking the Spyder leaves another car home for them to use. It's more that any excuse for a ride is the perfect excuse for a ride. My wife is an occasional rider, very weather dependent. Gives us an...

Do you think a Spyder is for me? Need some advice from the Spyder Pros

Until 2020 I rode a 850# Yamaha Venture, but my knees had spent 29 years in the infantry. Got to the point that stopping the Venture was a coin flip whether I could keep it upright. I still enjoy occasionally scooting around on an old VSTAR 650 (nice and light), but my '20 RTL is amazing. The...
