• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any experience/recommendations on Shipping a Trike from NC to Long Island NY?

My first bike was shipping from California to Kansas in the middle of December. Fun experience and had no issues with the shipping at all.

Diesel engine oil in a gasoline engine? Check here.

I rode in 17°F temps one day. Won't do that again. Curious, did you have issues with your display? Mine did. It just showed random crap with bunches of colors the whole time. Once I got it back in the garage and it heated up some, it went back to normal. So I was wondering if yours had issues too.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

I got my bike back and it seems everything was done correctly. But it went in clean and came out looking like they dropped it in the closest mud pit, pulled it back out, let it dry on, and then delivered it to me. Not a spectacular thing to see.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Yeah, my dealer covered everything. However, they did tell me that my shaft bearing was going out and they needed to replace it. Originally, it was going to $550, but they reached out to BRP, who covered the cost of the part, and I only needed to pay for one hour of labor. But my dealer charges...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

I just got mine back from the recall. I rode it home. Felt fine. My only complaint is it is absolutely filthy. So this weekend will require a major cleaning. But with a fresh oil change and new coolant, probably worth the wait.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

I was only 2k miles away from this not happening. The dealership is waiting for the drive shaft bearing currently. I am worried that the risk of the drive shaft breaking was not worth it vs the risks of doing this recall. This is a major repair and will the tech really do the job correctly? Does...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Something like $260 for the bearing. I assume the rest is labor. Not like I have a choice. Again, they have me over a barrel.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

So my dealership called me last night and said that while working on this recall, they told me that the drive shaft bearing is going out. All I could do was confirm that the bike has one. They said that it will cost $463 total, but will try to see if Can Am will cover it. I haven't noticed...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Mine included everything in the picture, but no HCM filter. Obviously they are replacing the oil, oil filter, and the coolant.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

So my dealership called and told me that my parts were in for this repair. They told me that they are doing a complete oil change and coolant change as part of the repair. What I forgot to ask was will there be a warranty for this repair. I am almost scared to do it since my bike is working...

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

I called my dealer and they ordered parts and would call me once they are in. I am only 2K away from being over mileage. I have been tempted to just let it go. But I feel a tad worried over it as well. I guess it makes sense to just get it done.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

Meaning if my 2018 can get to 40K miles and it still works fine, mine will theoretically be ok moving forward. I think I have about 34K now. Tempted to just roll with it and not worry about it.

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

So are they assuming because we get over a certain mileage, that the part will not break? Seems odd to me.

Changed the oil & both filters, now it's got Shifting Issues! Ideas?

Never heard of such a thing. Literally let it idle for 30 minutes before riding? I did my own HCM filter change, and let it idle for a few minutes and then went on my way without issues.

Warranty Question - Would you let a regular M/cycle shop fit a rear tire?

I had a regular motorcycle repair place replace my tires because I do not want the Kenda crap tires. I went with car tires and am very happy with them.
