• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Our ride to the Great River Road

I was in that beautiful area 2 years ago visiting a friend in the Mnpls area. I travel in a toy hauler motorhome, and at that time I had my Polaris Rzr side x side with me. I camped for the night at Maiden Rock Village Park, and started reading about this Great River Road. I really wanted to...

    My South Texas ryde today

That looks like a very interesting place to ride. Now I will have to add this area to my future ryde list. Thanks for the pics

    More fun Ryker Rydes

Thanks Greg. I bought my toyhauler in 2013 when it was already 6 years old. I got it for a good price and it has been very dependable. I have done a lot of updating on the inside and the outside appearance, so it doesn't look like a 2008 model. So if you buy used, there are bargains out...

    More fun Ryker Rydes

I put about 1500 miles on the Ryker during this trip, and it performed flawlessly:thumbup: I really enjoy travelling with this in my toyhauler. I used to travel a lot while hauling a Polaris Rzr in the garage, but there are not many places east of the Mississippi River that will allow that...

    More fun Ryker Rydes

Before heading back west, I summited the highest elevation site in some of these states. The ones in PA, NJ and WV have paved roads that I could ryde the Ryker on, which are some fun rides. Here are photos from the site in WV, called Spruce Knob. .

    More fun Ryker Rydes

I worked my way east, doing some short rydes, before spending time in NY, NJ and PA. The last photo here is at the Gettysburg National Battlefield.

    More fun Ryker Rydes

I then made my way to Nebraska and did some chores around the house for my mom, and was repaid with excellent vittles from her kitchen. Then it was off to Missouri to visit an old friend and get my first up-close view of the Gateway Arch.

    More fun Ryker Rydes

I then drove to Wyoming and camped with my sister and some of her horse friends. I did a Ryker ryde into the beautiful Snowy Range Mountains, and around Cheyenne and Laramie.

    More fun Ryker Rydes

Then I went to Colorado and rode my Ryker up to the summit of Pike's Peak. It is a fun 19 mile road with awesome views. Just be aware of the crazy bicyclists that zoom past on the way down!

    More fun Ryker Rydes

What a summer and autumn! I just got back home to AZ a couple of weeks ago after being on the road for 4 months, mostly solo. I travelled in my toyhauler motorhome and brought my Ryker along. I went all the way to the East coast., and was able to add 13 more states to my map of Ryker rydes...

Cleaning advice - do you use anything to protect the finish?

Yes, I use the Ultimate Black on all the black plastics of all my vehicles. The instructions say it can be used on all colors of plastic, but it seems all the plastics on my vehicles are black. I wouldn't use tire dressing on the Ryker plastics. Most tire dressings contain petroleum...

Cleaning advice - do you use anything to protect the finish?

I use Meguires "Ulimate Black", which I believe is very similar to Beanz's recommendation of Back to Black. I have used it for years on my old 2011 Polaris Rzr, which I purchased used. It has a lot of black plastic like the Ryker. The Ultimate Black really revitalized the richness of the...

    Here's my Garage Paint Job!

That does look good, and I will prolly do that at some point on my Ryker. I'll use GM Victory red, which I used on the 3 colored panels to cover the factory Can Am "red", which in reality is orange :gaah:. And I'll also paint the little plastic piece on the left side that goes from the rear...

    Traded My Ryker

Dang Rick, that's too bad about your old Ryker getting crashed. You had a lot of nice mods on that bike. The Jeep looks really good though, have fun with that  So do you still have that nice small trailer that you set up for the Ryker?

Finally got to ride Hwy 12 on the NC Outer Banks

Yeah, that's a nice area. My in-laws live in Norfolk, so I have been down some of those roads in their camper many years ago, the opposite direction as your ryde. That is a lot of miles in 36 hours!

Reverse beeping - anyone located the beeping beeper?

Yes, I find that reverse beeper obnoxiously loud. I had some leftover dense foam tape from some forgotten project, so I just cut a round piece from that and completely filled the round speaker hole. It is still surprisingly loud, but much better. I find it humorous that this little beeper is...

Did some fun traveling and Ryker rides last couple months.

The day before I left AZ for Cali, we had our first triple digit temperature of the year. :yikes: The weather on the coast was perfect, so I rode the Ryker all 3 full days I was camped on the coast. On my way back to AZ I made a quick side trip to a Cali spot I had recently learned of called...

Did some fun traveling and Ryker rides last couple months.

Here's a couple more photos from that ride. The first one is from the entrance to the Wm Randolph Hearst State Park. If you look closely you can see the Hearst Castle on the mountaintop. I figure it would be a good visit if my wife can come next time. The last couple photos show the Morro...

Did some fun traveling and Ryker rides last couple months.

I was fortunate and was able to secure a campsite on the Pacific coast at the Harbor campground of San Luis Obispo, CA. This facility is usually fully booked whenever I check their website reservation system. I would guess maybe the recent spike in fuel prices has caused a few RVers to cancel...

Did some fun traveling and Ryker rides last couple months.

Thanks Greg. I believe that rock is called "Nightmare Rock". It is actually on land notoriously owned by the Los Angeles Water District. This area is in the Owens Valley, where the district bought up all the water rights in the early 1900s, drained and piped it all to LA, as portrayed in the...
