• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I had a CANBUS failure - anyone else have experience with this?

I had the check engine light pop on and then go off after a few miles. Took it in and it came back as a CANBUS failure.... or hiccup. They said if it did go, I would lose my dashboard. Anybody else have any experience with this? This is on a 2018 RT Ltd. with just over 30k miles.

Looking at buying - If you are over 80 y/o and ride a Spyder, raise your hand...

Go for it! I'm 75 and have ridden my 2018 RT Ltd from LA to Washington DC 3 times so far. Taken it through a tremendous hailstorm, rain, wind, and tornado warnings this May going across Kansas.

Dealer says Rain triggered Limp Mode & VSS Fault? Is this true?

I rode from Washington D.C. to Calif. first part of June on I-80. I had rain, hail, or both for part of every day with no problems. On the trip to D.C. the guy behind me noted that my brake light was on for a while. I figured out that I had my foot resting against the brake pedal shaft. After...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

IdahoMtnSpyder, I guess I am one of those who likes to take the twisties fast. I don't mean "crazy", just comfortable. I learned to ride in the Sierra's, haven't been up to your neck of the woods yet, but I am looking forward to it. Used to live north of Seattle and went to Spokane and...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

Seagravesg. I probably will end up going back. After dropping $30K it is irritating that so much is needed to make it "curve worthy. Plus, I was spoiled by the 45 to50 mpg I got on my Beemer. I do a cross country ride every Spring and it's nice not having to worry about the next gas stop...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

Seagravesg, Unless you can no longer ride your GW, or any other 2 wheeler, really think hard about getting a Spyder. I had hip replacement surgery in June. I let myself get convinced that I should get rid of my 1200 RT. My feelings: the Spyder is great if you have never ridden a...

    spyder RT vs F3

I just changed from man years on a BMW 1200 RT to an RTL. The ride is totally different, especially 2 up. Make sure you both take some serious test rides before purchasing. If you ride in an area with a lot to twisties make sure that you do some serious riding on those types of roads...
