• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Carrying long guns on a spyder

I switched my wood cane for a collapsible metal cane I keep in the trunk. I literally unvelcro it from the roof of the trunk and snap it open, go about my day, collapse it back and pop it back on the roof of the inside of the trunk and off I go. Good to see others with canes on these bad boys.

Carrying long guns on a spyder

I've given this a lot of thought because I like to be prepared for situations that may come up when I go on long trips. The Spyder has the option for a trailer hitch. Get one, put on a class 2 hitch and mount your gun cases, standing up, to a cargo carrier with something to secure it to a...

You gotta be kidding me.....chk your lug nuts yourself

You're right. The appeal court's decision makes a lot of sense. This is why you read the decision, not a 'reporter's version thereof.

    Brake failure light

Okay, update. Air bubbles in the brake fluid set the sensor off and the metal sound was the back tire misaligned by the dealer when they replaced it. Total cost was $250. I also need new rear brakes by the next tire change.

    Brake failure light

Nothing yet. She goes in on Friday. I took her in last week but the dealer couldn't get to her. She's stopping just fine, it's that metal on metal sound in the rear end that's bothering me.

    Brake failure light

I think I figured out what was wrong. The back wheel is now screaming at me. I think it's something serious so she's parked for the time being.

    Brake failure light

I think I'm going to do exactly that tomorrow. A 40 mile round trip just to see if I can get them to reset. She's acting fine but just to be on the safe side, I put in a request with the dealership for November

    Brake failure light

I was leaving town today coming up to the last red light in town and went to down shift when the dash lit up with the "brake failure" orange light. I gently eased the brakes to test to make sure they were still there and stopped, eased through the intersection to the shoulder and checked her...

What Max Temp Reading have you seen for ambient air on your Spyder?

My bike was showing 107 the other day just around town and the bike didn't seem to have any issue.

Now that is true but... everyone else tries to use kid gloves. I've been called a jerk when one of my friends was having a rough time after a breakup and I called him a few names and took him on a ride. "Why couldn't you be more sensitive to what he was going through?" I was. He's an...

I also have one of these filtration systems for mass water needs and of course the personal systems for each member of the family. https://www.jicreadiness.com/Sawyer-Point-Zero-Two-Water-Purifier--SP191_p_62.html Filtering and purifying up to 170 gallons of clean water per day, the Sawyer...

    Emergency water storage

Exactly. A tub with one of those will hold a hell of a lot of water and you're not dealing with storing a bunch of containers. I have a couple of 55 gallon drums sitting in a storage building that is waiting on my new storm shelter to come in to have a new home. Once it's in? They get put in...

I'll also point you to this. If your water is still working, you can use your bathtub as an emergency system...

Tilt the back rest on my seat forward, wrap the pizzas with webbing down around the pizzas to the passenger floorboards and ride up closer to where the gas tank should be. When I get the trunk rack, it'll be easier.

People asking questions about the Spyder

Today a pleasant 82 year old gentleman was just standing outside looking at my bike when I came out with pizzas. He was upset he had to sell his Goldwing because he could no longer get on it due to his age and was VERY interested in the Can Am. We talked for almost 20 minutes before I...
