• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

998cc Not starting after winter!! :(

So I did this: I disconnected the starter and I tried to start. Well, the 'good' news is that I don't have this crazy 'multi-reset'. So, it looks like it comes from the starter (why???) or... the engine? Next : I'm gonna remove the starter, then plug it in and try to start it. If it spins then...

998cc Not starting after winter!! :(

So I went to the dealership yesterday and the tech agreed with me: not related to the battery (or the alternator) since it won't start when I jump start it. I also tested the starter selenoid and it seems good. Next step: I'm gonna remove the starter et test it. I'll let you know.

998cc Not starting after winter!! :(

thanks for your reply! I agree, all the clues seem to say: that's a dead battery. BUT, I just jump start it from another vehicule (Polaris Slingshot) that has almost the same battery (same brand but a bit stronger (400A vs 350A for the Spyder)), and still I can't start the Spyder! I mean...

998cc Not starting after winter!! :(

Hi guys, bad news for me yesterday... My ST-S Spyder won't start!! I parked it in my garage in October and it was working fine. Yesterday I tried to start it, and I just got "tic tic tic tic" but I didn't hear the starter trying to start the engine. So I jump it with my car (with and without...

Little noise coming from the engine (?) around 3000~3500 rpm (but Spyder runs fine)

Not sure to understand what you mean... The (little) noise I'm talking about occurs every second or so (I understand it can be hard to hear because of the engine noise). My wife said: tell them it's doing 'ftou... ftou... ftou...' Well, I'm not sure it is really helping that's why I posted the...

Little noise coming from the engine (?) around 3000~3500 rpm (but Spyder runs fine)

I eventually succeeded in recording that annoying little noise! It doesn't occur every time I use the Spyder that's why it took so long. But last friday my wife and I went for a ride then after ~30-45 min it started. We stopped at a gas station and while my wife was keeping the engine running...

Little noise coming from the engine (?) around 3000~3500 rpm (but Spyder runs fine)

Thanks! I'll that in mind, but I doubt this is the cause of the noise I hear, it's not whining, it's definitely not high pitch. I really need to record that noise...

Little noise coming from the engine (?) around 3000~3500 rpm (but Spyder runs fine)

I'll try to record a video when I'll hear the noise at idle. I did when I was driving but I can't hear the noise on the video because of the wind...

Little noise coming from the engine (?) around 3000~3500 rpm (but Spyder runs fine)

not a Tupperware issue, I removed all of them this winter to service my Spyder (brakes + spark plugs & wires + air filter + headlight bulbs + oil change, etc.). And the noise I'm talking about was here last summer.

Little noise coming from the engine (?) around 3000~3500 rpm (but Spyder runs fine)

Hi guys, I have a little problem with my 2015 ST-S Spyder since almost a year now... It's not easy to describe but I'll give a try. Sometimes I can hear a little noise coming from the engine (I guess), or close to the engine, when it revs at 3000-3500 rpm. Not lower. Maybe higher but then the...

Turning the lights on without starting the engine?

Hello, is there a way to turn the headlights on without starting the engine on the ST? Most of my Spyder is now taken appart (so it won't start) but I'd like to adjust my headlight beams. Thanks!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today, I... did something REALLY stupid!! On another thread I was asking whether or not I should buy the service manual before I replace the spark plugs on my ST. Well, while waiting for the spark plugs I ordered, I decided to take care of the brakes (cleaning, and doing whatever I can to lower...

Do I need a service manual to replace the spark plugs on the ST?

Rear spark plug removed with no issue (and no pliers), and new spark plugs and wires have been ordered (thanks BajaRon!). While waiting for them I can take my time to remove the front spark plug... :D

Do I need a service manual to replace the spark plugs on the ST?

thank you for your help! I found the plugs, the back one seems pretty easy to access but I'll have to remove the air filter housing to get at the front one. I sent an email to BajaRon since everybody seems pleased with his products. I'll see if I can avoid buying the plug cap puller... Again...

Do I need a service manual to replace the spark plugs on the ST?

Hi, during this winter I'm doing some DIY on my 2015 ST-S: oil change, air filter, headlights adjustment, adding brake pads 'shims' (with 3M high temperature aluminium foil tape), etc. But my Spyder now has 22500 km (~14000 miles) and it looks like I should replace the spark plugs as well...
