• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BLS Replacement

Switch replacement is easy, getting to them was not so I figured it was worth the extra $40 to do both while I had it tore down. Especially since the switch was likely. But still just an educated guess.

    BLS Replacement

Back on the road. There are two switches that have to be drilled out and riveted back onto the mounting plate. The dealer had both in stock and it just uses 1/8 x1/2 pop rivets. Fixing and putting it all back together only took a couple hours. I even had it done before my wife saw the whole...

    BLS Replacement

Removed the switch. I can't say it is difficult, but i pretty much had to disassemble the bike to get the catalytic converter or primary muffler out of the way. Once that was off the switch only has two bolts and a screw holding it in. Interesting, the switches didn't work when tested on the...

    Yesterday Codes C0040 & C006C; Today Codes P061E & P0504! What's up with today's?

How did this work out? I have the same issue and same codes. I removed the brake switch but it tests good for continuity each way on both switches.

    BLS Replacement

A couple times this week tapping the brake pedal wasn't enough to disengage cruise, I had to hold the brake for a second. Last night, I lost brake lights and gained two trouble codes (p00504 and p061e). All fuses are good so it looks like the Brake Light Switch is likely bad. Has anyone ever...

    usb charger

I haven't done this on the spyder yet, but on a car I would find an ign or acc fuse, pulling, ben your stranded wire around one leg, and push it back in. If you do this on the vehicle side instead of the battery side your wire will be fused.

What would you choose? Spyder vs Ryker

If I rode alone, Ryker. The gas mileage is reportedly terrible but I found the Ryker to be comfortable and extremely fun. The lack of power steering also made it feel like I had more control than the spyder.

    Searching for St radio kit

I just bought a 2014 STS with a radio kit. The controls are mounted in the fairing that you would typically consider the tank. If I can find a replacement fairing I am going to remove the stereo and sell it so I have more storage space in the frunk. Side note: anyone know what the name of...

What would you change on the Ryker?

Wider passenger seat. Had a Ryker picked out and ready to buy until the wife set on it. Now im stuck looking for used spyders. Would also like to see better mpg and a top speed above 85 fir the 600. If my 500 lbs, 400cc scooter can run 95mph two up why can't the 600 ryker do it with one person?

    Two-up on a Ryker

Looking at Rykers, love the ride but am worried about the bosses seat. Anyone here ride two-up? I found the drivers seat very comfortable but an worried that the passenger seat will leave my wife wishing I'd kept the burgman. FWIW, we usually don't ride more than a hundred miles at a time.
