• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just ordered a Wilbers 640 rear shock! :)

This was my experience too - so much better behaved in many ways. Even my Nav reported it being a big improvement (as we know happy wife happy life)

Headlight "hazing" pre 2019 RT models

Now it makes sense. It seems the fog lights were never intended to be Headlights but BRP seems to have met compliance requirements by moving the "Low Beam role" to the lower position. 1. Beam height regulations (ADR 13/00 & reg 176) In Australia, the top edge of a low beam’s main light must...

Headlight "hazing" pre 2019 RT models

Tried them and the coverage was worse than the OEM halogens which from speaking with a few seems related to the design of the reflector type headlight.

Headlight "hazing" pre 2019 RT models

A question out of curiosity regarding light covers on the pre 2019 RT models. In Australia our low and high beam headlights are in different positions as shown in the picture below: I am on my 4th set of plastic lenses for the low beams, and I use the standard HB3/9005 bulbs. The...

    Insurance renewal rescinded (Australia)

Today, I was informed by my insurer - Australia’s largest - that they will not be renewing the insurance policy for my '17 RTL. As mentioned in a separate discussion, I spoke with a friend who is a lawyer at another major insurer. She mentioned that concerns such as parts availability, the...

Anyone removed the rear Top box/pannier assembly (Aust up to 2018 RT models) is the t/light plug the same as the trailer plug?

If you have, do you happen to know if the plug you disconnect that supplies power to the tail lights etc is the same plug where BRP has us insert the trailer module? Background When I bought the towbar in 2019 it came with the BRP Relay. To install I needed to separate a plug under the seat...

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

I just prefer having that protection if someone decides they want my bit of road and I end up on it.. Like anything that requires PPE, feels odd at first but you get used to it. I am an ATGATT

Are Straight wound springs going to be better than Progressive rate springs?

Hi Merlot, I'd say no. I have the same rear shock as you and the aim for my set was a comfortable ride and better handling. I have them on all corners The part of the variable spring that is "wider spaced" (at the top) is designed to soak up the little bumps while you are moving along, and...

After some Guidance on how to route wiring in my example?

A few years ago, I added a set of driving lights to my RTL, then later a trailer bypass relay and some cameras. Overall, the setup works great, but there are two issues I haven’t been able to fully solve: The messy “rats nest” where all the project wiring converges at the ground/fuse...

FS: RT 622 Trailer Lights - 1 x Red and 2 x Orange LED Clearance lights (Australia Only)

I have 1 x Red and 2 x Orange BRP Genuine RT 622 trailer LED clearance lights. I decided to replace them all when a red light failed. I have cut the connectors off to re-use, so the lights are missing 5mm of cable. Make a reasonable offer - will ship to your location DM me if interested.

How Long did BRP take to contact you after your Spyder purchase, if at all??

They didn't, until I lodged a complaint with our consumer protection agency. They had promised a few things with the BRP offer at the time, and thought they didn't have to honour it. I was quite surprised, having just paid cash for their (at the time) flagship product.

Looking for ideas - where to mount a Bypass relay for trailer supply other than where BRP would have us put it??

A recent 4000KM trip had a few 39/40 deg C days, and they seem to have cooked my bypass relay for the trailer supply. It progressively got worse, intermittently losing functionality in odd ways, and eventually some functions ceased to work altogether, so I am looking for a cooler but dry spot...
