• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2025 RT Ltd GPS/Navigation - will it work with Android phones, or must I have an iPhone & headset?

I am considering a '25 as well, I wonder if anyone has tried a MagicBox 2 (or now 3) to make an android work. The magic box hooks to the bike as a CarPlay device, but hooks to the phone as an android auto. Works well in cars, and I would think would work on an RT. Hoping someone has given it a shot.

Foot Brake vs Handlebar Brake - would it be better for me?

I had a handbrake on the last model RTL, and I LOVED it. The handbrake was not quite as strong as that on a normal motorcycle, but worked very well. Made it much easier for me to ride, I had the same hip situation as you describe. I found I could not move my leg quickly enough to be safe...

More on brake pedal 2020 RTL

A company names ISCI makes a handbrake kit for Spyder, and does have one now for new models. I put one on my 2018 and loved it. It activates the existing brake pedal using a handlebar mounted hydraulic system,,.....so works on both front and back brakes, James as the existing pedal. The pull...

RT Ltd seat gas strut - what pressure?

My understanding, the stock seat strut is about 20 lbs. Many upgrade to a 30 lb so that the seat stays open better, even with a little weight on it. Some have gone as high as 40 lbs I installed a gel pad in my comfort seat, and the stock strut would not hold it open. With a 30 lb strut, if I...

    helmet communication recommendations

Plus one on the Packtalk Bold. I've had several Senas, including an old 10, the one made for a Neotec original (forget model), a 20, and now a 30S. I ONLY have a 30S because I have a Harley, and their sound system only works with Harley branded Sena units. The newer Senas are pretty good, no...

    love the zumo xt

For those that have trouble with Basecamp, might want to take a look at Harley Ride Planner. To me, it is a little easier to use, I've done several tutorials on Basecamp and if I dont use it for a few months I always struggle. The Harley Ride Planner creates GPX files, so easy to work on the...

    Another Bluetooth Issue/Question

Pairing the phone to the bike is pasted below. The order I would pair is to first pair the phone to the bike. Then would pair the bike to the headset using what Sena calls the "Phone Pairing" . I would then pair the GPS as what Sena calls the 2nd mobile phone pairing. Finally I would set up...

    Gave up on BRP connect

That would be great. Bosch is a highly capable company.....just don't think they are getting allot of support to date. Maybe since Can Am is expanding usage as well, they will work with Bosch for updates, app incorporation, etc.

    Gave up on BRP connect

As hard as it is to believe, BRP connect is a version of Bosch's "MySpin" connect software. BRP is heavily involved, but my guess was given a losing hand of requirements vs budget.....

    Another Bluetooth Issue/Question

Good luck with it. Normally goes very smoothly. Just dont pair your phone with the headset....should be the bike as the first pairing, then GPS as 2nd.

    Another Bluetooth Issue/Question

The 10C does do 2 channels/pairings. Go to the link https://www.sena.com/product/10c/faq#:~:text=Turn%20on%20the%2010C%20and,detected%20on%20the%20mobile%20phone. and look at the section of bluetooth pairing. You will do your bike as phone 1, and the GPS as phone 2 as they discuss. That said...

    Another Bluetooth Issue/Question

Do not believe you can pair directly as you indicated. Which Sena do you have? I connected my phone to the bike, NOT the headset. I then connected the bike "headset" bluetooth to the headset itself. Finally, I connected the Zumo to the headset as a GPS on the 2nd bluetooth channel. The Zumo...

    BRP Connect & Sygic GPSNavigation

Thanks. Not yet on Android. Hopefully that means it is coming to replace the Car Connetced version you can no longer get. Much nicer feel on the GPS Navigation version. At least I have the old one.

    BRP Connect & Sygic GPSNavigation

Does your BRP App on phone show the Sygic GPS Navigation" app? Think you say it DOES. If so, iPhone or Android, my droid only shows the old Sygic. Sygic has been making various versions, the car connected we've had, the GPS Navigation you mention, and a Truck version with a few extra...

Anyone in St Pete/Tampa FL who can do Baja Ron Sway Bar install?

I've had great luck with them every time but 1. The guy at the desk, mentioned above, did not seem to know allot about Spiders.......maybe he was a fill in that day. Will check back.....Really wanna bar, but hate the thought of buying a couple of 100 worth of stuff that will just sit in the...

Anyone in St Pete/Tampa FL who can do Baja Ron Sway Bar install?

I bought mine at West Coast. Did you have them install a sway bar? I asked one of their guys a year ago, and they did not seem that interested in aftermarket stuff. Maybe I will try again........ I am willing to pay a little more, since if I do it I have to buy jack stands and a motorcycle...

Anyone in St Pete/Tampa FL who can do Baja Ron Sway Bar install?

Is there anyone in the Tampa Bay/St Petersburg area that does Baja Ron Sway bar installs on a 2018 RTL? I can't come up with an easy (safe) way to lift the bike to the required height. I know it is an easy install, but..... Thanks

An electric Spyder with a roof

i've owned some of their stock, and had a "pre-order" down ($100). The price has increased signigantly, to now $20K. It might have a small market at that price, but they lost the original concept of a small, flexible, electric scooter IMO. Did not do well on the stock either, as delivery slid...

After Bag liners for rear trunk & side bags on 2020 RTL?

If it is for light/medium uses, I've had great luck with Hopnel inserts. For 2020s, they have a 2 piece set for the frunk at about $37. they also have side saddlebag liners for about $26 each (need 2 for both bags). On quick look, I did not see one for the rear trunk. I've had good luck with...
