• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer says Demo Rides are not possible - any suggestions?

https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/discover-can-am/can-am-experience.html Went last year. It was stupid-fun. Got about an hour on each one out on the road. Able to ride an F3, RTL & Ryker.

Attended Can Am Road Experience day - LOT of fun!

Went to a "Can Am on road experience" today. LOT of fun. I've been so happy with my beloved STS, but have to say the F3/RTs are impressive. Not turning my nose up at the Ryker, but it wasn't for me. Fun though. Something I noticed on the F3 is the area between my lower back & top of my...

    Riding with a passenger.

Mikey mentioned "the pucker factor"... First time I had the better half on the back, I could've turned a lump of coal into a diamond! :roflblack: You get the feel for it pretty quick though

    Would like to Shine!

Have a white STS & had real good luck with Turtle Wax Ice Seal & Shine last season. Spray on/off in no time flat. They have some new stuff out recently called Ice Hybrid Solutions that's getting really good reviews too. I've always been a McGuire's fan myself, but this stuff is surprisingly good.

    Removing plate under oil tank

Thanks guys. I got the needle nose pliers (Vice Grips) on it but it wouldn't budge. Finally cried uncle & had dealer do it. They put in a new plug, too. I'm set to do the next oil change nyself when it's time, anyway.

    ST v RS

Sure. I was kind of in the same spot as you. Rode the RS, ST & a '15 F3. Liked the F3. Rode the RS & liked it a lot... Then hopped on the ST & it just seemed to "fit". Very comfortable for me. No real right or wrong answer though. I think you'll enjoy either one.

    ST v RS

Post #4 has a really good comparison chart. Tried to copy/paste but no luck. I have an STS & really enjoy it: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?93670-GS-vs-F3&referrerid=32074

    Removing plate under oil tank

Haven't had a chance to mess around with it yet. Have new OEM plugs, & did order the 2 gold plugs for next oil change. Hopefully that sucker will be off by the time I get the Gold Plugs, anyway

    Removing plate under oil tank

Thanks everyone. Really enjoying the bike so far. Stuff happens, though.

    Removing plate under oil tank

I recently pulled the trigger on a '14 STS. Debated a lot between that & an F3. Got a great deal & truly enjoying the 998. Here's the pickle I'm in- want to change the oil to start fresh/have peace of mind knowing it's correct. Followed directions/tips from here on the forum getting the...

    Child swipes F3

I've been curious myself. Haven't heard a thing. The local newscast here said "see what happens when a 3 year old takes her father's motorcycle for a joyride", & I took the bait. Seems like a slightly different story than "a joyride".

    Child swipes F3

Thought that too. Negligence/carelessness is the perfect term. Too much involved otherwise.

    Child swipes F3

Oh my. Dad saw the bike moving, tried to grab it, & by then he was along for the ride. Other news report saying both are ok. Minor injuries (with the exception of the bike. It hit a wall at speed & it's toast)...
