• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Newbie ramblings....

Recently viewed a video on YouTube by CoachBob on cornering a Spyder RT. Was very helpful. I found that I was mostly doing things correctly, except that I was steering mostly with my left hand and was not really "pushing". Corrected that a week or so ago...pushing the outboard handlebar...

    Newbie ramblings....

Hi, all. Thanks for the replies. I've now had the bike out three times. The second time was another local ride up and back and I have to confess that I was not digging it at all in the twisties...felt like I was bouncing from one side of the lane to the other, instead of carving a line in the...

    Newbie ramblings....

I’ve been riding motorcycles as a re-entry rider since 2007. My last conventional motorcycle was a Suzuki C50, which I loved, but had some difficulty riding due to problems in my legs and hips. I switched over to a Honda Silverwing maxi-scoot. I didn’t have to shift it, as everything on the...

Looks like I finally joined the club

Just bought a 2020 CanAm Spyder RT base model. First CanAm and first trike. Will be delivered Thursday, then going to go out on a clear day, take it slow on some country roads around here and get to know it a bit.

comfort seat v new solo comfort seat

Yep, makes perfect sense. That's how I feel about the Max Mount also. It's why I'd prefer the Rally, but as I mentioned, the Solo Driver Comfort Seat is not compatible with the Max Mount, so I'd have to give it up if I went with that seat. Maybe one of the local dealers will have a Ryker with...

comfort seat v new solo comfort seat

Rick, thank you for information-very helpful. Do you find the Driver Comfort Seat to be more roomy than the stock seat? The main reason I'm looking at the Solo Driver Comfort Seat is because it is 2" wider and longer than the stock seat. Your comparison photo above suggests that the Driver...

comfort seat v new solo comfort seat

Greetings. Seriously considering a Ryker right now. I'm not a small guy, so the stock seat really doesn't work well for me. I know Can Am offers what they call a Driver Comfort Seat and it looks a bit better size-wise. It is compatible with the Rally and with the Max Mount. There is also...

    Need a Bigger Top Case

I don't have a Ryker yet, but was aware that others had mounted a Givi mounting plate to the Maxmount. I posted the thread to request details. If you you through the thread, you'll see that others have done it and described the proces. McRuss has summarized it nicely above.

    Need a Bigger Top Case

Take a look at my thread above regarding installation of the Givi top box on the Ryker. It appears that you can mount a Givi Monolock mounting plate on the Ryker Maxmount. If you have the Givi plate mounted, you can use any Givi Monolock top box. I have a 47-liter box which will easily take...

    My New 2 Ryker's

Sticky, where are there 900s for sale in Cali? Last time I checked with the dealer (about a month ago), the word was that the 900 was having difficulty passing the CARB emission certification tests. The dealer was unable to state when the 900 would be available here. The Rykers in the...

    Givi top box installation

Hi, Rogue Hawk. Thanks for the info: "You can get a Ryker 900 from iMotorsports and they will ship it to you for free." Unfortunately, the 900 is not available here in Cali because the 900 engine is having difficulty passing the CARB emission standards. No telling when it will be available...

    Givi top box installation

Greetings, all. I'm pondering the acquisition of a Ryker (the 600 version is currently the only one we can ge here in Cali). I've been over on the website looking at the accessories and I saw that CanAm is offering a top box. I understand you have to get the mounting bracket for the top box...

Results from Can-Am/BRP engineer conference call

Have been considering a Ryker. This thread is invaluable, especially to see how CanAm and its dealers respond. Thank you, QM, for being persistent and taking the time to chase this stuff down. Watching...

    F3-s or Ryker??

Anyone have any idea of how the routine maintenance costs compare between the Ryker and the F3? Or, alternatively, what the maintenance costs are for the Ryker following the owner's manual maintenance schedule? I tried doing a search, but came up with nothing specific.

Some thoughts re: Ryker and F3

Here in NorCal, Rykers are few and far between. We're only getting the 600s until June or July because the 900s are having difficulty passing CARB certification. I finally got down to the local dealer and was able to check out a 600 Ryker. I'm a pretty big guy, so I found the seat a little...

    600

Base model is 600cc twin, about 47 hp. Upgrade is a 900cc triple, about 70hp. Whether or not that is enough power is dependent on many factors. Might not be for you but it might be for me. I'd like to ride them both.
