• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you do for Emergency Assistance on Far/interstate Road-trips?

Thanks everyone - the jist of what I’m getting is I’m already all prepped (although that uhaul idea is prime!), but will just need to be ok with triage and pivot as needed. Seems the idea is fix, find local repair to continue on, get a means to tow it back (uhaul for the win here lol). Agreed on...

Now this is a good one - what size truck?

What do you do for Emergency Assistance on Far/interstate Road-trips?

So what I’m getting as a general plan for everyone so far is be prepared to try and fix it yourself, then if not, tow to closest dealership for service before continuing on the journey. I was curious if anyone’s plan was more around getting it long-distance towed home for repairs, and getting...

What do you do for Emergency Assistance on Far/interstate Road-trips?

I did not. My F3-S is my first motorcycle. I’m curious the types of plans and “insurance” (supper services) others use and prep with for such emergencies… Thanks!

What do you do for Emergency Assistance on Far/interstate Road-trips?

I love to take day trips and extended stay rides. I currently own a trailer and have had to have my wife come pick me up during breakdowns in past. I’d love to come up with a means to get help without the need for my wife and my own trailer if I were to break down. What do you do? What do you...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

So I rode 306 miles on Saturday, and I must say I really love this tune. Fuel economy feels about the same now that I've ridden it a good bit. Sure is a kick in the pants when you want. I do agree this is how it should have come from the factory, but given that the typical Spyder rider isn't...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

Yup. Very nice and smooth. Loads of extra power in 3rd and up, but 4th and 5th really shine now. Can’t wait to get more time this upcoming year. Only downside I may have noticed is decrease if fuel efficiency but not surprising if it turns out to be true. Doesn’t bother me but just a thought...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

I did - installed it right away as well. I think today is going to be rideable, so fingers crossed that all allows me to test things out! I’ll report back once I’ve tried it out. ———— Update: I tried to ride but quickly hit rain, looks like I’ll have to push to really try, but I could feel...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

Ok perfect. 91 or 93 always (only time I’d put regular is if I get stuck in a small mountain town with no options - luckily hasn’t happened yet). Thanks!

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

Yeah - I’m not stressing. Got the tracking label and should be arriving tomorrow before end of day. I’m stoked to throw it in and go for a ride (just need some good weather and time). Know if there’s specific procedure or steps to follow on first startup or rides?

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

Sent my 2015 F3-S ECU to Wick-It last week. Should be receiving it back by this weekend. I decided to go with the Stage 1 since I have also added a hitch and tow an easy camper up into the Carolina Mountains every so rarely. I didn't want to put all the added stress that a Stage 1 likely puts on...

    OEM Saddle Bag Locks

I've recently done this mod, and when I close and latch, It seems all locked and I can roll the numbers (which tells me it's completely locked), but if I pull on the door, it will come open, so I know the OEM latch arm isn't grabbing the post inside the bag correctly... Any ideas on how to fix...

    F3 S R Shock Advice

From what I gathered by a quick glance on their website, their shocks are only warrantied for 1 year (https://us.elkasuspension.com/support/warranty/). Aside from this, Elka recommends a maintenance schedule for motorcycle shocks...

    Rear Peg / Footboard Delete

Correct - You could do just that (and I actually had it that way) or you could go a little further (only if one wanted) to get he parts for the trim piece that bolts there and close off the styling/"look" in that area. The Bobber Kit has those trim pieces, and all said and done cost me less than...

    Rear Peg / Footboard Delete

So as an update to this thread - a fellow Spyder Rider from Facebook (Joseph - Thanks, man!) figured out the part numbers required to use the Bobber Kit's rear foot delete / trim piece. Below are the proper pics that I couldn't find and post previously, which is why we could never find what we...

Anyone do Spyder F3S Rear Tire Replacement in Georgia (Car Tire)?

Yeah - DK over at Extreme Propulsion should be able to let you know. They were able to install lighting and non-OEM accessories without issue - I would think, if they have the stuff to mount tires, they would do so. In fact, if they don't, I'll also need to find a place as I'll be also...

F3 Clutch updated to vacuum assist.....

...odd - BRP's website shows the 2018 F3-S and F3-T as having a manual option (selected for them to "help me choose" and then selected manual transmission from the filter options). .....maybe they're stopped in 2019? ....or for only specific markets for 2018?
