• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Store a gun in my RT

Sorry I haven't been back in a bit to answer all the above questions, but COVID got my hard and I'm still trying to recover. Yes, I have a FL CCW, but the issue here is that I'm a licensed armed security guard. Which means that when on duty I open carry my weapon, and I am allowed to open carry...

Store a gun in my RT

To start with, I've seen some threads talking about "Concealed Carry" on a Spyder, but that is NOT what I'm trying to get at. My question concerns temporarily storing a handgun on/in my RT. I'm an armed guard in South Florida, and the laws here don't allow for "Open Carry" except for a small...

    Battery recommendations

@Navydad - Bummer, Anti-Gravity website only lists BRP ATV's and UTV's. And I did a search on just the battery model and it didn't list anything at all :gaah: My 2016 RT is just now giving me grief about starting, so I'm hoping to get one before it goes completely. I was looking at the...

    Spyder RT Seat Replacement Options

I just wanted to get an update in on that statement. Since the time of this post BRP now makes it available for all RT models 2019 and earlier. I didn't look to see what was available 2020 and beyond since I ride a 2016. Gotta love this place. So much information, so little time to...

    Seat Rain Cover

I bought a CoolAss cover right after I bought my 2016 RT in early 2018. It did indeed keep my seat cool, and I live in South West Florida. I've even used it while raining to keep the seat dry, and didn't feel like it was slippery at all. But I do sort of think that contributed to the quick...

    2016 RT Heated Grips

Well thanks for all the input. I guess I'll try an old Navy Electronics school trick and put some scotch tape on the connectors. As this is low voltage the thin tape will block the current with out being so thick that it is difficult get the plug back together. Have fun and ride safe.

    2016 RT Heated Grips

HI all, I live in south west Florida, and heated grips are a total waste here. I've accidentally hit the switch several times while turning off the parking brake, and let me tell you, my heated grips work very well. But again, not needed. I would like to disable the switch or the grips, either...

Thank You! Eviltwin, thank you for the information on that plastic you used. I'll have to give that material a try myself on some of my Spyder projects.

If you like Sci-Fi fiction, try this

I've been reading Speculative Fiction since the mid-60's when my mother forced me to do a book report for extra credit when I got a "C" in English in the sixth grade (first non-"A" ever <sigh>). So after all the above comments I'm really looking forward to this, and will report back on my...

New DIY Floorboards, Cheap TPMS, Daylight visible turn indicators +more (Many Pix)

Inspiration has been found! This is totally awesome. I've been thinking about floorboards since I got my 2016 RT in Jan. Even thinking about turning out my own, but didn't know where to start. You fixed that problem for me with this post, so thank you for that alone. But I also have a question...
