• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Finally installed Spyderpops Spyclops LED Lights. Plug and Play - at least, after managing to find and release the Customer Accessory circuit!

About 2 weeks. I was expecting much longer. Haven't had any problems since and just had 3k service done.

Brand new 2023 RT with an Oil leak, Dealer won't help, what now?

Get thee to a dealer close to you, pronto! My brand new Spyer F3 hade an oil leak which turned out to be a bad engine block -- BRP sent a new engine and within 4 weeks I was back on the road. You need a dealer local to you to perform the check and get through to BRP.

Hands going numb some... Ideas why? Any fixes?

The first mod I did to my 2022 F3 base was to rotate the bars downward so my hands are straighter. The second mod was to pick up a throttle lock on Amazon. They sell a Chinese copy of the Atlas throttle lock. Since I wasn't sure it would work, I didn't want to spend $160 on the Atlas. The...

Any reason not to Connect heated gear to acc outlets on 2022 F3?

I used the standard cable for the Tourmaster. That brought me to 5 inches out of the left side plastics, had to add a 6 inch extension to reach the lead from the vest. Works perfectly and also keeping the battery tender plugged in when not riding.

My Sad Spyder Story - 2022 F3 needs a new engine!

BRP shipped the new engine out and the dealer received it 2 weeks later. Today, I finally picked up the Spyder. Seems to run fine so far. Now I have to catch up on my riding....

My Sad Spyder Story - 2022 F3 needs a new engine!

No, no mention at all. I'm sure I can make it up when I get the bike back. By now, I would have had somewhere between 1000-1500 miles

My Sad Spyder Story - 2022 F3 needs a new engine!

Did the search and found some mentions of this problem. Guess I'm lucky that my dealer and BRP went directly to replacing the engine; some folks had to fight for months to get it corrected. Hopefully, in 6 months I'll have forgotten I ever had an issue! Can't wait to ride again!

OOps, that should read "cracked swingarm"

My Sad Spyder Story - 2022 F3 needs a new engine!

don't know the cause of the crack. I sure haven't hit anything... Luckily it is under warranty. I must say that I loved the 2008 spyder when it was running. Problems with it included the power steering going out, cracked , and finally some cracked steel struts in the front ( which were...

My Sad Spyder Story - 2022 F3 needs a new engine!

I put 40k miles on my 08 Spyder in 2 years. BRP sent a new engine out when it blew at 21k, but after that I had problem after problem. I ditched the Spyder and switched to a Ninja for 80k and a Z900 for 70k. So I'm now at the point where my knees might let go whenever I stop the Z, so I sold...

How do you secure your Helmets when leaving your bike?

In the past 13 years I've traveled over 150000 miles on various motorcycles. I've never locked my helmet, and not one has been stolen. I usually hang it from the left side passenger peg, but now on the Spyder I leave it on the seat or the rear rack.

Any reason not to Connect heated gear to acc outlets on 2022 F3?

Thanks to all for your input. I have decided to connect direct to battery, with outlet plug up next to the key. Deciding factor was that I want to use it for battery tender also, like on my Z900.

Any reason not to Connect heated gear to acc outlets on 2022 F3?

Is there any reason not to connect my heated vest to one of the "Customer Accessories" outlets on my F3 base? Tourmaster wants me to connect direct to the battery, but the outlets would be so much simpler and would not be hot until I'm moving.... Thanks for any input! Getting on the Spyder...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

My wife named both my rides. The Spyder is the " Metal Bitch" as in " Are you riding the bitch again , dear?". My Ninja 650 is the "Steel Slut". Can't win either way-- I'm in trouble no matter what.

    Desparately need help!!!

As the post above mentions, the one time it worked fine was when there happened to be a demo Spyder in town at the same time. It took me a month to get mine, with blown engine, fixed, even with Carlo's help -- but he did send a new engine, since my dealer didn't have the knowledge to overhaul...

    Sypder's Handling

My experience is that the Spyder corners faster/better than my VTX 1300 but not quite as good as a 20-year old on a Ducati. It will likely corner better than your buddies' Harleys -- I almost ran some over last year out on a ride... I can, however, keep up with no problem in the twisties with...

    BRP Givi bags

Check Twisted Throttle.com and Competition Accessories to see their price for the Givi 35's -- that is what you are getting with the BRP Givi's. the mounting set for the BRP version is better than the version Givi sells on their sights, since you can quick-release the brackets. I bought the...

i need to speed up a bit

Well, I've got 34160 miles and it shows 278 hours, for an average speed of 122.8 mph...:yikes: Oh yeah, forgot that the hour meter reset when the new engine went in at 21000 miles..... so let's see, that leaves 13160 miles, darn - only 47.3 mph --I ll have to stop riding it around town every...
