• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can anyone tell me where the 2021 S2S Frunk light switch or fuse is please?

I have a 2021 S2S. I want to disconnect the frunk light without having the bother of removing the liner to get at the light unit and removing the bulb/LED. So can anyone tell me where the switch or fuse is for this light please.

2021 RT Ltd Torn rear brake caliper piston dust seal - can this seal be easily replaced? Where can I get a replacement?

Is the damage that bad that you cannot repair it? I know that there are superglues available that are specific for rubber that remain flexible after curing. The dust seal is not constantly flexing, so it is not going to stress any repair. Given a good cleaning and the correct adhesive, you...

Are Straight wound springs going to be better than Progressive rate springs?

merlot, I know that it does not make a lot of difference, but in your photo the spring is upside down. This does make a difference to unsprung weight that only really has an effect on racing motorbikes and fine tuning of the suspension.

Installing PedalBox has increased idle speed to 1000-1050 - will this damage anything? Anyone else notice this?

Yesterday I fitted a PedalBox Pro unit to my 2021 S2S. The unit was fitted as per the instructions and Martins video. After taking the bike for a short ride the motor settles down to an idle speed of 1000-1050 but not the 900rpm as previously witnessed. Will this increase in idle speed do any...

My '21 S2S rattles quite badly for a few seconds after ~5 months layup start - any way to spin the motor without starting?

Well EdMat, if your information is correct, that would be the answer I was looking for. Borys will be ready for his first start up next weekend. If you don't mind me asking, where did you come across this information regarding full throttle stopping fuel injection on start up.

My '21 S2S rattles quite badly for a few seconds after ~5 months layup start - any way to spin the motor without starting?

The oil was changed before putting Borys away for the winter and taken for a short ride. The oil is Castrol fully synthetic of the correct viscosity. This is the oil and procedure I have used for the 9 years I have owned Spyders, but only had this problem for the last two.

My '21 S2S rattles quite badly for a few seconds after ~5 months layup start - any way to spin the motor without starting?

I normally lay Borys (2021 S2S) up over the winter, 5 months. The last two times on start up the motor rattles quite badly for a few seconds. I assume that this is the hydraulic lifters filling up. Is there any way to spin the motor without it starting, such as removing a fuse to isolate the...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

Borys. I was and still am, a big fan of the "Who" rock group. On one of their earliest LPs, there was a track called "Boris the Spider" which I liked for some reason. So when I got my first Spyder in 2016, the name stuck.

Is there a simple way to make Front Turn signals into running lights?

There is something else you may wish to consider when doing jobs like this. The heat from incandescent bulbs is quite considerable. Make sure that there is enough room in the light so that the air can expand and take the heat away from the bulb without melting or distorting the lens. This...

Can anyone with a Big Blue Lift provide advice on my lifting issues?

I have had my Big Blue lift for about 15 years now, the last 8 on my Spyders. I would say it is essential to fit the bracket that bolts to the side of the lift arm and to the footboard bolt hole. If you lift the bike so that the weight is just being taken, then tighten up that bracket as well as...

Wiring the Chin LED light - is the Black wire Earth, White Live?

For a splitter connection I used 2 Wago connectors (see Ebay); one for positive, one for negative. That made it simple to link 3 outputs to the bike's 1 output. I used the 5 output versions and stuck them to a suitable place on the bike, then painted the negative one black to avoid mistakes.

Wiring the Chin LED light - is the Black wire Earth, White Live?

G'day, On my light unit, I took an uneducated guess and found that indeed white was positive and black negative. So as not to risk interfering with the can-bus system I ran the wiring back to the keyed power supply under the R/H front side panel. I have a volt meter and my sat-nav wired...

Wiring the Chin LED light - is the Black wire Earth, White Live?

Thanks for the replies. I was under the impression that LEDs would be damaged if connected backwards, that is why I asked. As a lot of the lights on the bikes as standard on the US bikes are illegal here in Europe CanAm do not include the wiring onto the bikes.

Wiring the Chin LED light - is the Black wire Earth, White Live?

Just purchased a chin LED light for my S2S even though it is not strictly legal here in the UK. The short piece of wiring has a length of black and a length of white with waterproof plug. Is it safe to assume that the black wire is earth and white live. I know where to wire connect it safely...

Blank spot in 2021 S2S switch panel - what switch fits?

On my 2021 Sea to Sky I want to put a switch in the dummy position on the switch panel. Could someone please tell me the designation for that size switch? I purchased one online that looked OK, but it was the right width but too short. Thanks

Any discussion/opinions on extra Upright Grips on handlebar ends?

Many thanks to all who replied with serious and helpful comments. I believe that my fading memory did recall the handlebar risers as shown by CopperSpyder. I do have a set of Barkbusters stowed away somewhere and I will dig them out now that my riding is over for this year. Thanks again, Alan.

Any discussion/opinions on extra Upright Grips on handlebar ends?

No Lee, I have Helibars on my bike already. What I think I remember were bars with grips fitted which replaced the bar end weights, going straight up. I may have seen them on the GoldWing site which I was on before I got a Spyder.

Any discussion/opinions on extra Upright Grips on handlebar ends?

It may be a false memory but I seem to recall some posts about extra vertical grips on the end of the handlebars on some Spyders. I have problems with wrists and hands and think this sort of modification would be helpful to me, only when in cruise control type situations of course. Anyone recall...
