• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Concealed carry on a RT - which holster?

Have any of you used the Hopnel H41-152CC EZ Carry Pouch? I don't like to have to fish out my LC9S from the glove box in full view of the usual gawkers when I have to leave the bike. I suppose I could just stick the Sneaky Pete holster that I have in the glove box and then just hand carry it...

    Rain Gear?

Frogg Toggs. Effective, reasonably priced and they pack up really small. We keep ours in the small depressions in the side trunk lids, held in place by the Hopnel elastic nets. Out of the way and handy at a moment's notice

    Gas shock for trunk

Hi Madison Sully Last week I destroyed the trunk on my 2014 rt. The strut was already too tired to hold the trunk lid so I ordered another before the accident. The RT is being repaired at the moment and since I have this extra I would like to add it on the other side. I have a Show Chrome...

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

I got my M on my license 40 years ago on my 1979 Trail 90. I took the written test and then the trooper told me the route to take and followed me on what was essentially around the block.

    The "honeymoon" may be over

My only experience with the Ryker 600 was a several mile demo ride last October, but.......My foreman here on the ranch has a Polaris 4 wheeler that was having an intermittent ignition failure. If he turned off the key and waited a little while before restarting it, it would start and run for a...

    Catastrophic failure

There was no"blowout". The tread separated and peeled off. When I was able to come to a stop, the carcass was still holding air. After about a minute it popped. As I was examining it before it popped I was thinking I could probably limp home on the shoulder of the road. The rubber had...

    Catastrophic failure

I am 81 so my hooligan days are behind me. Nanny has never scolded me in the twisties. I always ride the speed limit or less because my ever vigilant passenger can see the large numbers on the speedo from her perch. The fronts were changed because the left tire had sidewall damage from a time...

    Catastrophic failure

Thanks PMK. I'll take your suggestion to heart. My dealer is 156 miles away (187.2 KM) away. But since I grew up in south Texas where it is 50 miles in any direction for a drink of water, the trip to the dealer is no big thing. The RT is already on the trailer so I may take off tomorrow...

    Catastrophic failure

The fronts were the only thing that had changed. Model 2014 RT SE6 Total miles are 8704 Rear tire was OEM Kenda. I have the replacement tire in my shop and was going to replace it this coming Saturday. The OEM rear tire looked OK when I examined it when I was changing the fronts. It was just...

    Catastrophic failure

I replaced the front tires on my 2014 RT with 8704 miles on it. The bike developed a pronounced wobble at low speed. For a week I have been chasing this wobble. Rechecking the balance and riding it 10 miles to and fro to work. Tonight I replaced some weights I had removed yesterday. I then...

    Spyders in the Hills

Great is the least I can say............ Martha and I met some new people and saw some folks from last year. The "parade" was IMPRESSIVE. I estimated several million dollars worth of Spyders on one street at the same time. Mind boggling. I got to demo ride a spanking new F3 limited. At...

Those that have replace your rear tire on your RT?

What ever happened to DIY? I haven't had to replace a tire yet on my 2014 RT SE6, but when I do I will get out my tools and do it just like I do on my motorcycles, my Ural, my Excursion, my transit and my Cat backhoe/loader. Did I miss the post by somebody actually doing it themselves...

    This is why . . .

The smell of money. From the time I was about 10 yrs old I was the family surgeon. It was my job to castrate. I was little and I could easily reach the scrotum while the animal was held in the squeeze chute. My grandfather would wait until the bulls were yearlings to castrate. Many times...

Blinders for the "BRIGHTSIDE" 2014 RT red fender lights???

When darkness finally came I put on my Shoei hornet and rode around. If I held my head straight up and not tilted down a bit the helmet blocked most of the glare, Once I get on the road I may find that the glare is a non-problem. I really like what I saw when I rode behind the guys that had...

Blinders for the "BRIGHTSIDE" 2014 RT red fender lights???

Last year at the Spyders in the Hills rally I was very impressed at how the bikes with the Brightside red fender lights on them on really "stood out". I just installed mine and they are really bright. I am thinking that some "blinders" that shielded me from the direct glare would really be...
