• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SE5 CREEPS FORWARD WHILE AT IDLE IN FIRST GEAR

Same here...sometimes it creeps other times not at stop lights. I have a suspicion that it happens because the idle point is not 100% consistent. I was paying attention to it last night and it seemed to me that when the machine was creeping the idle was just a teeney bit higher than normal.

    Steering

Does anyone have the procedure on how to test the power steering current? Worth taking 5 minutes to look at IMO....until BRP has something official.

    SE5 Riser Install 100% Complete!

There are 2 cables shifter and headlights/horn/directonals. I did not follow the second cable but i'm pretty sure it goes to the same area. Others have done risers without having to remove this cable. After cutting the cable ties there seemed to be enough slack on my bike. Its close at...

    SE5 Riser Install 100% Complete!

I suspect the cable length problem will be an issue for all SE5 owners unless you settle for the 1 inch riser offered by BRP. To get the slack here's a procedure: 1) take out the instrument cluster (manual tells you how) 2) open the trunk and remove the cover over the fuses (computer symbol on...

    SE5 Riser Install 100% Complete!

I finished up the install on my risers and completed a test ride. The riser kit is intended for use on the SM5 but with some simple mods will work on an SE5. Cable Routing The throttle side on the SE5 is the same as the SM5 so I won't write about it. The shifter side has 2 electrical cables...

    SE5 - 4" Risers

I got up before work to do more work on this (6AM woohoo!). If you follow the shifter and headlight cables to where they plug into the harness you will find a cable tie that when cut allows a suprising amount of slack. There is another waaay up under the headlights that was loose enough to...

    SE5 - 4" Risers

Wondering if anyone has completed the 4 inch riser install on an SE5. I pulled mine apart and the throttle side looks like it will be fine... a little tight at full lock but acceptable IMO. The Shifter side is a different story....I thought it may be useful to collaborate here for the benefit...

    Cover leaks?

This is waaaaay more than condensation. We had a very heavy rainstorm and the bike was wet. It completely soaked 5-6 paper towels I used to wipe down the seat and handlebars. Not the end of the world I just expect it to be mostly dry.

    Cover leaks?

I am using the Spyder cover bought from the dealer. This morning after heavy rains last night my bike is all wet! My best guess is that the seams leak. Anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it? What good is a cover if it leaks or am I missing something? I supose tent seam sealer...
