• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Clutchless gear change

I have yet to perfect clutchless gear changing on the Spyder, maybe I am just too old to learn new tricks. I want to change gear smoothly when driving hard mainly so that the wife does not have to brace herself in an effort to stop our helmets banging together. I get it right most of the time...

    Ask the BRP/Spyder Engineers Questions

Service book All the bikes and cars I have owned had a service book where a stamp would be inserted by the Dealer when the bike/car was serviced. The service record of any bike/car is important and a up-to-date service record adds to the value when the bike is sold. Is there a reason why...

    Lamonster Hand Brake

Hi John, The cable I used was a Honda cable #43460-HNO-A-00 rear brake cable from a TRX 450, it is 80" long. The lever is a universal one for a 7/8" bar, which I found on ebay. The plate is 3/8" aluminium, it took a while to get the profile right to go round the brackets, there are also 2...

    BRP Hand Brake?

I am happy using the footbrake, it took a bit of time to get used to it but I still felt the need for a hand brake, so I followed Lamonster's idea and made my own cable operated system. It has taken a while to perfect the design but the mods now work great, the reach to the lever and the total...

    Hi all

Hi Jetskier and welcome. I am from Newcastle and I have not seen another Spyder at all during my travels, so it is an exclusive club in the UK. I have fitted 4" risers, made a hand brake conversion and repositioned the rear footrests for my long legged wife, all mods that I can recommend...

    Lamonster Hand Brake

Hand brake modification - no welding required I have spend many hours designing a kit, based on the original idea of Lamonster, that could be made without the need to weld brackets onto the footbrake pedal. My design uses a braket that pivots from a stud and wraps round the underside of the...

Install Ken's race filter and fuel pressure mod.

Sounds like a great mod, have you had a chance to check the fuel consumption as yet. I could not live with a big increase in running costs but I suppose you cannot have it both ways.....

    Any one from the UK

Had my yellow Spyder now for a couple of weeks, picked it up from my local dealer (over 200 miles away) brought it home, went for a few rides, then took it back to the dealer for its first service one week later. So now I can open it up and start to explore the brilliant roads we have in the...
