• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2021 Ryker traded - New Kawasaki Concourse 14 replaced it

Kilroy, nice bike to get! I had a 2012 Concours and joined the COG group (concours.org). I sold it back in 17 for a 16 F3 LTD. Bad knees. Anyway, I still belong to the COG group and ride with them quite often. The club motto, join for the bike, stay for the people. We don't care what you ride...

Any Trailers specific for hauling a Spyder?

I posted a lengthy response with pictures of my trailer setup. The trailer was around $3k. Look up my post from 4-20-21 to get another option. Added Link: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?139956-Aluma-638-trailer-where-to-place-tie-down-points&p=1573166#post1573166

Review: Two Wheels of Suches, Georgia

I just got back from 4 days at the Blue Ridge campground for a COG event. Put 1600 miles on the bike (2016 F3 Ltd). The grill was closed but we brought our own food for a nice BBQ. Super nice place and people. We had about 20 people from the south east area as well as Cliff from AK. BTW he...

Running ECO Mode - my MPG results.

For what it's worth..... ride whatever way that makes you happy! Use the octane that you can afford and the MPG you're happy with. Life is too short to worry about such minor things. Damn, I just started a **** storm, sorry. Something that I noticed recently in my car (Santa Fe) trip to western...

    Windshield pro's and con's

Well.... I have a 2016 F3 Ltd still with the stock screen. One of the first things that I added was the adjustable X-screen (don't buy the cheap Chinese single mount version, a POS) I have it adjusted to almost vertical (about 15 deg aft) in front of the stock screen (clamp on version not the...

Bought a Primo 6x12 trailer today.

Snorking, here's a link (?) to what I had posted on an earlier thread. It has pictures of my setup, although upside-down. Not sure how to add a link but you should be able to search for it. Bought a Primo 6x12 trailer today.

Snoking, you will find that you don't need (can't use) the rear set of chocks for the front wheels. I have the same setup. I removed the rear chocks and just used flat E tracks instead. I found that once you ride up over the first chock down to between the two, you will be damned to be able to...

    Tire Help in Florida

Try going to a motorcycle shop to have the tire mounted if the wheel is already off the bike. That's what I had done when I replaced it with a Kumho tire on the rear. If the wheel is still on the bike I can't help you there as I'm on the opposite coast of Florida from you.

Aluma 638 trailer, where to place tie down points?

I'll add my experience to this conversation. Last year I purchased an aluminum trailer, same one as at Tractor Supply. It's has a 10 foot X 65 inch bed with a ramp on the back which can't be used because it's angle is too steep. I used the clamping package as noted from Walmart, but, found out...

    High beam riding for safety

I'll add my experience to this conversation about using your high beams during the daytime. On my prior bike, a 2012 Concours C14 sport touring bike, I had installed a Kissan headlight modulator (plug and play, no splicing of wires). It saved my butt more than once by being seen and got the...

Need help with rear caliper to compress piston. 2016 F3 Ltd

BajaRon, thanks for the input. At the time I tried ordering your tool but I got an email back from your site stating that you were out of stock and would be getting more in, in about a week. I didn`t want to have the bike sitting that long so I made the cube one work. As I stated, it doesn`t fit...

Need help with rear caliper to compress piston. 2016 F3 Ltd

Hi everyone, thanks for all the helpful replies. Sorry for the delay in responding back on this. This rear brake design was a new one for me. Apparently it's common on cars now. Yup, it's been awhile since I've done a brake job on any vehicle. I figured since it was a combined hydraulic /...

Need help with rear caliper to compress piston. 2016 F3 Ltd

I'm changing out the break pads on all three wheels and have encountered a problem with getting the rear caliper back onto the disk. The fronts went fine. After changing each set I pumped the break petal to re-set them. I tried compressing the piston by expanding the pads with a screw driver...

3 new tires all kinds of warnings and limp mode

Back when I was researching tires to replace my rear about 2 years ago (only got 7500 miles on the stock tire), I ordered 3 different make tires from Walmart all being the same size, 215/60 R15. When they came in I measured the diameter of all three and they varied by over a half inch in...

    Maintenance ramp suggestions

Yes, the steel ramps will slide on your cement floor. I solved this by putting inserts for 1/4 lag bolts in the floor to clamp down 2 pieces of 1x2x8 long wood. Removable when not needed (leave this inserts in the floor) and prevents the ramps from sliding when put against them. I changed my...

    Frozen sway bar link

I had a similar issue about a year ago with mine as well from them. I noticed a squeaking noise and one was stuck. I cleaned them lightly with a Scotchbrite pad, solvent (mineral spirits) to cleanup, then liberally applied some axle grease to the rod end balls. Moved the links around by hand to...

    Fog Lights

Merry Christmas. I installed a set of LED semi trailer side marker lights (orange) in this location. They come with a rubber gasket for mounting and fit perfectly in this location. I carefully cutout the hole to fit them. They just slide in an are held tight on their own. They are the extra...

    Feeling of more power from a 19 f3-t vs a 19 f3-ss

I have a 2016 F3-Ltd with the larger rear sprocket. Your thinking is on the right track but you have your ratios backwards. The larger rear sprocket will give you more torque, quicker acceleration and higher RPM at cruise. The smaller rear sprocket will give you less torque, slower acceleration...

    Terrible road and greedy politicians

Ha, ha, yup, that's south Babcock street all right south of Malabar road. Try cutting across to US1 on Valkaria road if it's near you. F3T and F3Limited mirror fix! The Wedgie!

Joe, I installed mine today, been busy, and went for a good ride. At 75 mph, clear as a bell. So simple yet so effective, way to go! I hope you can sell a boat load of them as they really do make a difference. Prepping for my anual trip to Suches, GA the weekend after labor day for my Concours...
