• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil leak at 100 miles! New 2024 S2S

This might be a long-shot, but I read in another post (maybe even on another site) that there are a few cases of the o-rings in the oil filter housing leaking. Oil that is flowing through the filter is presurized, pushes out of the top, and slowly dribbles down the engine. This makes for a...

What did you do to Connect a flat 4 pin to a Bushtec flat 6 pin trailer plug?

Hi Smoky, I pull a '93 Bushtec Turbo 2 with my '22 RTL. It seems complicated at first, but it just comes down to the basics. If you use a 4-pin flat, typical trailer connector, you might not be able to use all of the features of the Bushtec wiring. Bushtec uses a 6-pin connector because you...

Looking for info/advice from those who have RT Replacement Shocks...

I am looking for some help and advice from my fellow RT owners who have replaced their original shocks with aftermarket shocks. Note: I have Baja Ron links and sway bar on my '22 RTL. So, before I drop a couple of thousand hard-earned dollars on suspension, here is what I would like to know...

Is a replacement Lithium Battery the way to go? How have you installed yours?

Hi, I see that Lamsonster lists two NOCO batteries: NLP14 (500 CCA) and NLP20 (600 CCA). Will either fit in the battery compartment in a 2020 and later RT?

Anyone ever painted an RT-622? Good results? What paint/prep etc?

What would you think about painting a RT-622 trailer? Has anyone here ever tried it? How were the results? Any recommendations on what kind of preparation is necessary? What kind of paint would you use?

Bushtec Turbo II vs RT-622 Maintenance

Hi, I have a 1992 Bushtec Trailer that has served me well. Bushtec requires a certain amount of maintenance, especially the lubrication of suspension points and dealing with tires with tubes. I haven't had any wheel-bearing issues, but, from what I see on various forums, that seems to be a...

VSS, Check Engine, and Limp Mode lights keep reoccurring - any ideas/advice?

This might relate: When you are braking, make sure you are not also trying to accelerate. I have been with a couple of riders who ride with their foot on the brake pedal. That often results in codes and limp mode.

Throttle response - which Pedal upgrade gives the better results?

I've written about this before, but I would say it's fifty-fifty. Look for the features that you want and go for it. The Commander comes with Bluetooth and includes an app. You have to pay extra for Bluetooth with the Box. Both go on sale from time to time. The performance curves are more...

Once again, BRP didn't show up for Daytona Bike Week!!

True, but from a business point of view, companies often want to both (1) promote goodwill among the faithful, and (2) grow the product line. Staying away does neither.

    Pedal Box or Pedal Commander?

If you are considering either the Box or the Commander, keep in mind that neither has an IP rating. While some people have installed them on handlebars with no problems, in the long run, you should ask if you really need the control box to be exposed to the elements. I put mine in the glove box...

Any issues getting parts for Bushtec Trailers air system?

Sparks82, I have a '93 Bushtec Turbo 2. I pull it with my '22 RTL. Here are a couple of solutions: I used this wiring harness: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KYFGTFG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - It's a Show Chrome, but I bought it from Amazon. And this connector...

any ideas & pics for a good Pedal box Location?"

I put my Pedal Commander in the glove box of my 2022 RTL. I had to cut a slot in the bottom of the insert, and it took a little work, but it was worth it.

Anyone successfully installed Slingmods RT Dual Horn Kit?

I have one on my 2022 RTL. I installed it myself, but I had to have my wife turn the ratchet that was extended through the battery compartment while I lay on the floor and held the nut in place. As I recall, it wasn't difficult. I think it came with a relay that had to be wired in, but that's...

Thoughts on Pedal Commander vs Pedal Box - & where's yours mounted?

Pedal Commander in the Glove Box I have a 2022 RTL. I put my Pedal Commander in the dash glove box. The pictures show the insert pulled out. I used a drill bit and a Dremel tool to cut a slot big enough for the Pedal Commander to slip through without the mounting bracket attached. If I want to...

Thoughts on Pedal Commander vs Pedal Box - & where's yours mounted?

As I am writing this (November 26, 2022) both the commander and the box are on sale. Now might be the time to buy, but sales often indicated new models coming out for next year (pure speculation on my part). Both seem to have similar performance, and there seem to be incidents of both causing...

Anybody have experience with Can-Am Trailering Cover?

Hi, I have some questions about trailering a Spyder on a flatbed truck or open trailer. I understand that any bike should be transported facing the front of the vehicle. I also see a lot of advice on forums, that you shouldn't cover the Spyder when you open-trailer it. Here are my...

Vehicle Parking Needed Near Glacier Park, MT

Great suggestion. I hadn't considered a storage facility. That would be somewhat secure, and might not cost an arm and a leg.

Vehicle Parking Needed Near Glacier Park, MT

Thanks for the reply. We would want something secure. We aren't going to just park in the middle of nowhere. We're thinking more along the lines of someone who lives in the area who would let us park on their private property.
