• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Headlight "hazing" pre 2019 RT models

I had the headlight hazing on my 2015 RT. Took it in to the dealer since I had the BEST warranty. The dealer called BRP and they refused to honor the warranty because they said it was "cosmetic" even though the hazing was on the inside of the lens. I had read that someone in Illinois had had...

Does anybody use a J & S Jack to lift their Spyder?

I have the J&S jack with their Spyder adapter. Works really well. It is a shame their mom and pop business could never ramp up with the demand. They did build a very high quality product but did not have "business" side of running a business figured out.

Another Dealer Drops the Spyder Line

I was out at Moon Motorsports in Monticello MN this morning to pick up coolant for my Spyder. I noticed that there were no Spyders on the sales floor. I asked about the lack of Spyders and was told that the dealer had dropped the Spyder line and no longer services Spyders. I was also told it...

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

I had every intention of getting a new S2S, but with all the "issues" on the new Spyders, I just continue riding my 2015 RT. I keep hoping Honda will come out with a reverse trike based on the Goldwing.

Where do you jack the Spyder Up?

I use an EZcarlift to lift my Spyder.

Rear ended on the way to OC bike fest

Normally, wouldn't your insurance company contact State Farm and handle this for you? It is why we pay the rates we do. Besides, I am sure State Farm prefers to handle this with your insurance company rather than you.

    Video of 2024 touchscreen

It's a motorcycle. I started riding in the 70's with a speedo and a tach. I like a speedo and a tach. I don't need or want all this tech and, frankly, it is just more stuff to go wrong. I have a 2015 RT and have been reluctant to trade up because of the electronic dash that seems to be...

Front Sprocket Seized on shaft, dealer doing Recall work - any suggestions?

Shawn Smoak just did a pulley that took him two days. He finally was able to get it off with a 10-ton hydraulic puller and an air hammer. He said that the "guys at BRP" used a Harbor Freight 10-ton hydraulic puller to get a pulley off so his dealer got him a Harbor Freight hydraulic puller...

Sprocket Recall - What's Wrong With BRP's Logistics?

I saw in his recent video, that using Loctite 609 only requires 10 minutes to set.

Sprocket Recall - What's Wrong With BRP's Logistics?

Shawn Smoak has commented about how little some of the warranty work he does pays.

Battery Tenders - should you use them or not?

I used a CTEK maintainer on my Valkyrie and changed the battery out at 10 years old. The battery tested good, but I changed it anyway since it was 10 years old. I just had my garden tractor's battery go bad after 9 years after keeping it on a CTEK maintainer. My Indian Scout and 2015 RT are...

Pedalbox Installed on 2015 RT - well worth the money!

Just installed the Pedalbox. For me well worth the money. I did find a place to put the controller that is hidden away and has easy access.

Yuasa OE Spec Batteries out of stock - What's my best alternative?

Batteries Plus? I saw that the Batteries Plus in my area had batteries in stock.

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

The dealer network is horrible. It is tough to find a good Spyder mechanic, and if you do, the shop is usually booked weeks out. For most dealers, it appears that Spyders are a side line and the mechanics "dabble" with Spyders. I have said this before, but if Honda ever came out with a...

Looking for Can-Am Dealer Transmission Repair

FYI--I was having some bizarre shifting issues and it turned out to be the left hand control where the shifter paddles reside. Mine was covered under the BEST warranty but the dealer told me the control was about 400.00 and a few hours to install.

Any advice on adjusting Belt Dampener?

I had the same issue with the LaMonster damper. Also, after one season, I found the bearings were pretty dry. I put Doc's damper back on and was able to adjust it to the belt. I am more happy with Doc's damper design as it allows a lot of adjustability.

    Spark Plug Change

Going to revive this old thread. I have to eat a little crow here. In my previous post, I mentioned that I was planning on waiting until 45k to change out my plugs. Well, today I changed them out at 38.6k. Curiosity was getting the better of me and I decided I would change them out. I have...

Which Extended Warranty do you have, likes and dislikes

I have always been a fan of factory extended warranties rather than aftermarket. However, I purchased the BEST warranty and had a couple of repair items declined by BRP because they were "cosmetic." According to my dealer, approval of a warranty repair is dependent on who picks up the phone at...
