• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder catalyic converter

cat delete I put the Lamonster cat delete on a few days ago and we really like the sound. definitely not Harley loud but just what we wanted. We left the supplied baffle out. Quality workmanship on the pipe.

    feeling unstable

handling Since I started this I think I should clarify some. I love riding the Spyder and I'm comfortable unless I try to corner hard. Be aware that I have studied, designed, built and raced mainly space frame type cars. Think Lotus super seven upgraded. I can drive this type of car very...

    helmet intercom

Sarah and I just want to be able to talk easily. We wear shorty helmets. I do not want to buy new helmets or spend $500 just to have intercom.

    Lamonster pipe baffle

I installed the pipe without the included baffle thinking that if the pipe was too noisy that I could always install it later. We like the sound and improved torque. There were no instruction or tech data shipped with the pipe and I wonder if the engine needs that baffle to breath properly...

    cat delete negatives?

pipe price The workman ship of the Lamonster pipe is excellent. As a welder I am totally aware of the difficulty in producing this level of fabrication. The pipe is totally worth the price being charged. Otherwise I would have made one myself. BTW the part being replaced by the pipe is...

    Riding mountain roads

braking I'm feeling better about braking now. But it is better to know for sure. Nothing has been built that can not fail. That's why we wear two parachutes and those have been known to fail also.

    Riding mountain roads

Braking Why did I not know that? In skydiving we try to plan and practice for any situation so that when it happens we can quickly make a good decision. The same should be true for driving...but it is not for most people. I want to have a plan. The only remaining plan would seem to be...

    Riding mountain roads

I routinely ride curvy WV mountain roads and I worry about losing the Spyder's only brake while descending, especially with the trailer on. I wonder what effect engaging the electric brake would have? Not good I think. I used to do hand brake turns and front end throws in a car, but don't...

    New pipe change Torque

Good but will it last We like the pipe but as a retired welder I have to wonder about the life span of the thin material it is made from. I would hate to be 1000 miles from home and have the pipe fail. The fab and tig work look excellent. Has anyone had this pipe on for an extended time. The...

    New pipe change Torque

new pipe We took the bike for a longer ride today and we find the sound to be about right. We do not like a really loud bike. So I am really glad that we chose the Lamonster pipe. The fit was perfect and other than getting that top spring back on, it was an easy job. I wonder if Spyder...

    New pipe change Torque

I put the Lamonster pipe on my RTs today and the bike seems to have more power. Small increase in exhaust noise but not really a lot. Got a little wheel spin when I hit it hard. Never noticed that before. We'll take a longer ride tomorrow to really judge the sound.

    Mounting the Lemonester pipe

Pipe on That top spring was a bear! If I have to do it again. I'll make a tool. I left the baffle out and it sounds good enough. Not too loud. Seems to really improve torque. Really well made. Thanks for the help Jo. I can only hope that we don't have a fume problem.

    Mounting the Lemonester pipe

pipe mount That top spring looks to be really hard to reach. I've got the bike jacked up but I don't see how to reach that top spring. I guess there are three! would taking the plastic out of the way be worthwhile? It sounded easy until I looked at the spring.

    Mounting the Lemonester pipe

I got the replacement pipe today. Someone want to give me the steps for removing the old and mounting the new. I am a welder and I appreciate the quality of the fab and TIG work on this pipe. I guess this is a pretty easy job but I 'd like to hear from someone that has done it. I have some...

    taking Trailer for a ride

trailer cost I just added everything up including the waterproof boxes. $710 I really like using the boxes...easy to carry into a hotel room for safe guarding. I'll lock the safety chains to the bike. I have a locking hasp on the trailer top.

    taking Trailer for a ride

Going for a test as soon as I finish this. The 3 water proof boxes fit perfect. Still have not wired the trailer harness on the bike. OK it pulled great. I've got a loud rattle on a rough road. Every thing is tight. I think it is the slipper springs. I hate those things.
