• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Review on Solar tire 215/60/15

Yea, old post but wanted to follow-up with my own Solar tire 215/60/15 experience. Approvingly running them since early 2018 and no wet weather issues with 15 psi in rear but matters not... Solar changed tread design. NOTE: Soft tires but wearing like iron. Price tag and wear are primary...

What are the advantages of a cat delete?

Contrary to ButterSmooth's "less smell", I tried a modified cherry bomb car muffler on the old GS and we (me and passenger) smelled like a pit crew from the Indy 500 after a ride.

    2009 Spyder with 1000 miles...

The "I really dont want to work on it" may preclude you from owning any Spyder. Unless your pockets are deep, a Spyder will occasionally require intermediate mechanical skills.

Airflow Heat issue on 2008 GS

I've applied ALL suggestions to alleviate the heat except wrapping the pipes. Sitting still or at slow speeds (traffic) there is MUCH HEAT (mainly lower right leg area). No cure. After all heat mods, wearing high boots with long trousers only is solution to make bearable.

    want info on 2008 spyders

My 2008 is a good one but, with all machines, there are a few not so good ones. Unless you're relying solely on a bike mechanic these "things" require, at minimum, intermediate skills. Although I've gone the limit with counter measures, due to design, it's the HEAT. Irregardless of what anyone...

    Are Car Tires Too Stiff?

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Solar-4XS-215-60R15-94H-Tires/751866633 Have these all the way around and after several thousand miles, have no issues and/or complaints. They are far from "stiff" and seem very close to the attributes of a Kenda but should last 4 x's as long. For 2 up, 19 PSI fronts...

    Retreiving/Clearing Error codes

"The low pressure switch is activated almost everytime you use the brakes.". Aware there's no brake pad code per se but didn't realize the LPS was routinely activated. I'm told there's an internal pressure sensor in the VCM for the front brake circuit. Nonetheless after several "brake failure"...

    ar-15

Certain people exist that shouldn't be allowed within a 100 yds of a loaded weapon. This includes some individuals "trained" and required to carry weapons as part of their occupation (i.e. law enforcement, military, etc., etc.). Like it's said... a firearms primary safety is between the ears.

    JUST READ THIS

I can relate and agree with most of that. I'm 63, ridden 2 wheels since I was a teenager, and traded one of the H-D's for a 2008 Spyder GS back in 2015. After about $2K worth of modifications to improve comfort and reliability, we love "The Thing" (as wife dubbed it). Although we've only logged...
