• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Demise of MCN magazine

They were online for the last few years, but I guess that wasn't enough to save them. It was a very good magazine, well worth the subscription.

    How to Remove Hitch

Pull the bolt, then wiggle (I used a rubber mallet) the hitch off of the swingarm. Be very careful that the hitch does not catch on the abs sensor and/or brake line.

    Rear Tire Removal

Provided you have an adequate lift, you can lift the Spyder enough for the wheel to clear Tupperware and bumper. You may have to disconnect the rear shock (I didn't) and the wiring to the suspension height sensor, if you have one.

    Towing Trailer

Agree on the drop tail trailer. I have one, easy to use, tracks well, very sturdy. It can be stored upright, but requires 2 people to lift. I keep mine in the garage and park my Spyder on it.

    Re-keying my 2010 622

I've done this and found that I had to remove the barrel and take it to the locksmith.

Welcome new forum member & new owner Michael3million

Michael, I'm also in Scottsdale and ride with several groups that I'd be happy to introduce you to. I am retired and currently touring Utah and Colorado and will be heading home in the next couple of days.

    Alaska

We were part of a Spyder group that rode to Alaska a few years ago. We did encounter a lot of road work where gravel was the primary road bed, but we stayed off of the gravel roads. I don't recall anyone having a problem with the roads under construction. There are many on this board that have...

Buying from I Motorsports in NY?

Thanks for the suggestion Rob. I've heard great reviews about Sierra, but they're 3 hours from me and I was intrigued by the door to door delivery from iMotorsports.

Buying from I Motorsports in NY?

I requested a quote a week ago and all I've gotten is a couple of emails thanking me for my enquiry and that they have great deals. Pretty disappointing experience so far.

F3 T, does one need to remove a bag in order to pull the rear wheel?

It's not necessary to remove a bag. Remove the rear brake, jack up the Spyder, the wheel will drop to allow access to the wheel bolts, lower the bike and remove the axle.

    Arizona Riding?

Try Hwy 60 to Wickenburg follow 89 past Yarnell Hill to Prescott then 89A through Jerome, Cottonwood and into Sedona. If you have time follow canamjhb's suggestion or shoot down I-17. The fountain is in Fountain Hills and blasts off on the hour. It's nothing special, but can kill a few hours...

    Droptail trailer

I also have a drop tail trailer and I ride it nose first (don't want to lose the windshield), then run straps with covers through both front wheels, attaching to the tongue loop and one of the three loops on the front edge. I also run a strap and cover through the rear wheel attaching to the...

    Recomended Service in Phoenix AZ

Any of the RideNow stores in the Phoenix area can do an oil change. My only caveat is to check the oil level before you leave the store as oil changes are generally performed by assistants and not the qualified mechanic.

    Mount Lemmon?

As stated, Mt. Lemmon could be hit and miss with the weather, but you have many riding options from Fountain Hills to Payson, the Mogollon Rim, Sedona, Prescott, etc. etc. I'm just a few miles from FH, in Scottsdale, and have ridden almost every good road in the State. Send me a pm and I can...

    Cost of a YUASA battery

The gel in a battery is acid based and basically the same as a lead acid battery. The acid is formulated as a gel to make it maintenace free.
