• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Uhaul trailer coming?

Or... we might buy a used Aluma MC210 as a group and loan it out... just a thought. I bought one last summer. It's light but sturdy, with a rock guard up front and a pull-out ramp that stores under the trailer.

Age brings an increased-understanding of things not prior-considered. Axiom 1: Adjust to the “New Normal” Axiom 2: Lower one’s expectations of being pain-free, due to the ever-changing nature of Axiom 1.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

After barely escaping getting run off the road by a cager coming over into my lane, apparently not hearing my horn, I decided to install a loud, obnoxious horn. So the Bad Boy horn from Spyderpops was installed today... it is definitely LOUD... and I feel safer now. Driving up onto car ramps...

Gas mileage and the Kansas wind - it made a difference!

Disclaimer: I didn't buy my Spyder for fuel economy, but to keep my knees in the breeze. That said, this thread prompted me to check my theory that my 2020 Spyder RT costs about the same/mile on fuel as my 2012 Tundra, even though the Spyder requires Premium gas and the truck gets Regular. But...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Springtime in the South brought LOTS of yellow pollen, and then a lot of rain. Of late, the T'storms pop up suddenly and sporadically, opening the conversation from Mother Nature with winds, then lightning/thunder. The rain is just Her way to offer relief. Today, my Spyder thanked me for...

Reinstalled handlebar risers. I had the Day Long seat made 1" taller, and needed my hands to be higher. Happy hands now.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Update 6/12/25: Lamont Garage said the left front tire was "3/4" toed OUT, so dragging the left tire along made the tire wear unevenly on the inside (of course, right?) So Yesterday, I installed new front tres and did a short test ride. New shoes made baby happy, and the Spyder was notably...

Interesting conversation at the gas pump - asked why I chose to ride a Spyder rather than 'a real motorcycle'?!

I also had this conversation with a friend 2 days ago while riding in North Carolina. He was riding his BMW bike and I was riding my Can Am Spyder trike. Mirriam Webster defines "Motorcycle" as "an automotive vehicle with 2 in-line wheels". Miriam Webster defines "Trike" as a "Tricycle" Miriam...
