• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Laser Alignment

Are you getting the steering angle and torque sensors reset at the same time as the alignment? Without resetting the sensors (with BUDS) after doing the alignment you can have the effects you guys are describing. Personal experience speaking here.

Vehicle Stability System - Any Way to Make it Less Sensitive?

This comment is on the mark. I had the same experience with my '08 GS. After a lot of thought I concluded that the computer was making adjustments to the sensitivity to the yaw/body roll sensor when there is a passenger aboard. I mentioned this at the 1st event in Gatlingburg to some other...

Our Spyders gauges change each time you start them...

No. The left handle bar button that you use to reset the scrolling screen display before you can start the spyder, is also a "mode" button. When you press it to reset the screen it also will change the display. I don't know any way around this. Just keep pressing that same button untill you...

    Spyder Sputtering at 4K RPMs

One thing you can do to check if it is the oil sensor switch. Locate the switch on the lower right side of the motor and pull off the wire. The switch operates in a normally "open" position and removing the wire fools the system into thinking it is "open". If it starts and runs OK (i.e. no Limp...

    ANTI-SWAY BAR

When I installed Ron's sway bar on my RS, I noticed the improvement in the handling on the FIRST corner. I went through the 90 degree corner at the light 1/4 mile from home and was instantly aware of how much more responsive the bike was.

Can anyone tell me what this is?

:agree: One of the "other parameters" adjusted is the sensitivity of the yaw sensor that controls the degrees of body roll allowed before the nanny kicks in when cornering, i.e. when the switch is activated by a passenger, more degrees of body roll are required to trigger the nanny.

Dont change your own Oil if you want to keep your warranty!

This thread is a great example of what can result from an instance of "misguided" customer service. All of the ranting and back and forth commenting could have been prevented by a better trained and more attentive customer service rep. Most of the smoke that I have just tried to digest is, in...

    Rear shock replacement question

I need a new rear shock. My question is what is the difference between the rear shock on the RS and the RS-S? The RS shocks are listed as not available until Aug. 15, but the RS-S shock is available (I have an '08 GS/RS). Anyone know?

I have the "Missing air dam" and a home made deflector to send the heat out the hole in the side instead of on my foot. Also the underside panels have been removed.
