• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else been having trouble with the FOBO Bike 2 website not working?

Working for me but it can be glitchy at times.

What portable air compressor/jump starter do you use when touring?

For those of you who've actually had a puncture and flat rear tire on a Spyder, how did you locate the hole and fix it, or did you call AAA? Did the tire come off the rim?

What portable air compressor/jump starter do you use when touring?

I found a number of compact jacks and lifting bags, but they're all very, very expensive. I located one interesting small motorcycle-specific jack, but it doesn't break down to become compactable. The best I've come up with is a homemade screw jack. 1/2" threaded rod & a couple of nuts with two...

Buying our first Spyder in the Spring - what should I be looking for?

I've been on a '14 RT SE6 now since it was new in '14 (Been riding since I was 14). I like your idea of a Ryker for mom and 1330 for you (Good move). If she's never had a ride before, safety would be my major concern. Put her through a safety course, FIRST THING! Buying a scooter of any kind is...

Is the OEM seat big enough to use a Wild Assss Seat Pad? Any alternatives?

Yes we do. Hwy 49 and 3 just to name a couple that give you a opportunity to see your own license plate. LOL Remember Airhawk is only a half(a$$ed) seat. Check with the Ironbutt guys and see what they recommend.

Is the OEM seat big enough to use a Wild Assss Seat Pad? Any alternatives?

Ah, you're from Kalifornia. Well good. Anytime you get a new ride It's almost like starting over again, almost. It takes a while to become one with your ride. Getting your butt shaped to fit your seat is not always pleasant. Up where I live, we have two well known custom seat makers with...

    My Jump Port installation

I agree. Ground about anywhere. But the positive needs a good, strong, protected connection that's capped off safely anywhere that's easy to access. Me, I'd forego all that stuff and go directly to the battery terminals. That's what they're there for.

What portable air compressor/jump starter do you use when touring?

I also carry Slime and a plug kit. My compressor is from Harbor Freight, as well as my small jump pack. One fits neatly in the bottom of my frunk and the other in my trunk, taking up as little space as possible. Doing it again, I would take a second look at the new, tiny, compact compressors...

Looking for a suitable Half Cover For a 2019 RT with a Luggage Rack - any thoughts?

I have a '14 RT with a luggage rack. Yep, normal factory-made covers won't fit. I have two covers, a half (my favorite) and a full, both OEM. I made a template of a cover to fit the added luggage rack and took both covers to a custom upholsterer, who modified them to fit the application. The...

Open Trailers for towing Spyders - what's the best suspension type? Experience, opinions, or are we just over-thinking this?

Put the rock guard on the RV. It will hang down to almost the ground off the rear bumper. Check out some other RVs, you'll see quite a few of them that pull trailers. Good luck. And YES, on not using a cover while towing the Spyder!

Open Trailers for towing Spyders - what's the best suspension type? Experience, opinions, or are we just over-thinking this?

Super chocks are the best thing going for Spyder tiedowns. Sadly, they're no longer made and are scarce to find. Super fast to load, easy to tie down, and gone in a flash. Years ago, I searched long and hard for a set, and today I inadvertently own two pairs. How'd that happen? They were hard to...

Let’s start a fad - passing Spider Rings (from Amazon) to other Spyders

I agree. However, because I've owned several Harleys, if a friend gave me a bell for my Spyder, I guess I'd hang it on there just to be courteous. Not a big deal one way or the other.

Open Trailers for towing Spyders - what's the best suspension type? Experience, opinions, or are we just over-thinking this?

I have more trailers than I have vehicles or tractors. You have many good answers here, and I always get a giggle out of those who mention expensive. My lord man, you bought a spyder. Yes, if you live over your one and a half car garage in the middle of a condominium complex, then yes, a folding...

Yeah, it's a Harley thing, not a Spyder thing.

2024 will not start after long ride then parked for 1 hr - Anyone else? What fix?

Weird! What gave you the idea of removing body parts to make it start? 80 degrees is not hot. 110 is hot. Try giving it a "very quick" shot of starting fluid directly into the air filter intake. If it fires, then I'd say it's a fuel issue. I don't recall ever hearing or reading about this kind...

Replaced the Battery, but still no power! Any ideas?

Get out your 12v tester and start testing connections. First I'd be suspicious of fuses that look good. I've had a blown fuse before that looked good (several times) but was actually blown. If you tried jumping with a good battery and had good contacts, then your problem is upstream from the...

It pays to buy quality gear

My wife and I wear the same sized jacket. A couple of years ago I bought two new military flight jackets. Well made, very warm, and nothing gets through them. The only downside is you can't roll them up and stuff them anywhere. That just ain't gonna happen. You have to wear them until you get...
