• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Been Gone A While-What's New?

It's been a couple of years since I knocked on the door of this website. I was puttering down the highway on my '77 Kawasaki KZ-1000 and passed a newer looking Spyder RT. This got my interest flowing on them again and I was just wondering how the new Spyder RT's are doing? I want to say about...

    Remove engine ecu

I'll be interested to hear what your impressions are of this mod after you get a few more miles on it. Rick H. I just noticed you did this back in April! So how has it been going?

    And yet another one....

As an observer only at this point I can see no negatives to installing a drive belt idler pulley except if they aren't installed properly, or if they fail and damage another component. What I wonder about is can an idler pulley mask another potential problem that is happening? If so then the...

    stranded with bad gasoline

Was this an Interstate highway BP station or side road variety? Can you advise where it is located so we can all avoid it in the future? Rick H.

    shifting

It could be Joe, but I tried hard NOT to let off the throttle when shifting on my two test rides. In all fairness I currently own a 2018 BMW K1600 with Shift Assist Pro and there of course is no lag, or hesitation, in that bike when you shift it. So perhaps I am comparing apples to oranges. I...

    shifting

Not to kick a dead horse, but does anyone notice a "hesitation" or something like a flutter shift when you upshift your trans? The reason I ask is that I just went on a second test ride of two different RT Limited's. I noticed on both of them that when I upshift there is a hesitation, for lack...

    HAPPY O'CANNIBIS DAY

I too was in law enforcement for the better part of 30 years and I arrested untold numbers of people for illegal drug and alcohol use. I also on occasion arrested prostitutes for committing illegal sex acts. Legalizing marijuana in many states has done nothing but let the genie out of the...

    Positive comments about Spyders

Ya know Road Kill I don't think it is a matter of anyone enjoying their break downs on a Spyder and I certainly can't speak to it as I don't own a Spyder. In fact today I stopped at the nearest Spyder dealer and looked at the left over RT's they have on sale. I like the grey dark version, but...

Could be 2 Dogs, but the diagnosis should have been done if that's the case. I just hate a story without an ending especially if it may help someone else out later on.... Rick H.

So what happend in this incident? How can you post something like this and not do an after repair report? Geeez.... Rick H.

    New Front Tires

Due to all the differences of opinions and riding style and ability, you are never going to know how a specific tire is going to handle, or last, until you personally try it on your vehicle. There are far too many good tires on the market to get a realistic opinion of their potential because...

    Positive comments about Spyders

I fully understand your unhappiness, but have they given your any reason for the two failures? Is it the sprockets themselves failing or the bolts holding them in place or? Rick H.

My Spyder ryde from a different view

All I can say/add is that I greatly enjoyed your video. I didn't know what to expect when I opened it up, but it was very enjoyable. What happens if for some reason you loose contact with your drone while you are moving? Will it fly to a pre-determined spot and land? Thanks again... Rick H.

    Factory/Extended Warranty..what really voids it?

From a personal standpoint, I wouldn't stake an out of state away from my dealer vacation on that...… Rick H.

    Positive comments about Spyders

Okay Road-kill: I'll bite because you are the only one bolstering a real complaint in this thread. Pray tell what is exactly wrong with your Spyder to create such discourse and how long has the dealer had your machine? Rick H.

Chances of a plug in electric Spyder...

I think in order to be a viable vehicle for purchase an electric/hybrid Spyder would need to get at least 150 miles per charge and the recharge time would have to be in minutes, not hours. The Tesla super charge station is a good idea, but how many of these are going to be found in Nowhere, USA...

    Factory/Extended Warranty..what really voids it?

A lot of owners that modify their Spyders must live "charmed" lives. There have been many reported instances of people that modify their vehicles with after market parts and then have something happen to their vehicle only to see the manufacturer give them a ration of grief on a warranty claim...
