• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is this and where does it belong?

So, I just finished up installing Lamonster's LED headlights and fog lights into my 2014 Spyder RTS. While looking for a tiny torx head socket in my front I found this item. I have no idea from where it was knocked off nor where it belongs. Any help? Now I'm going to try and post a picture...

    Trailer bearings

speaking of replacing the race, does anybody know the number for the race in these bearings? I did get the timken bearings from Napa but it is just the cone bearing alone without the cup or race included. Napa needs to know the number off of the race in order to order it. Apparently there are...

    Stupid Belt

There is a video somewhere wherein the mechanic explains that the easiest way to adjust the belt is with the tire constantly spinning with the weight of the spyder on it as in being on a "treadmill". He made the treadmill from 2 industrial rollers and aluminum frames/spacers on either side. I...

2014 RT-S front upper and lower A-arm grease (zerk) fittings... Missing???

THANK YOU! Pegasus and Cpt. thank you very much. The manual I have shows them. I've heard folks talk about how hard they were to get to. But, I'll be darned if I could see them. It was driving me crazy. So, no suspension greasing for the 2014's. Wish I could keep 'em greased but, as difficult...

2014 RT-S front upper and lower A-arm grease (zerk) fittings... Missing???

So, I read in post on here that the grease fittings on the front upper and lower A-arms are hard to get to and may need special fittings on the grease gun. To make a long story short, I have two of the recommended fittings ready to go on my grease gun but... I can't find the cock-a-doodie-grease...

    Trailering an RT my solution

Thanks.... I plan to just keep my trailer attached to the Spyder. Just need to keep the rear from sliding/bouncing around. I like your idea with the ball at the front of your trailer....pretty neat! I'm not a bad welder but it's not second nature to me. For some reason, I went with a "wooden"...

    Trailering an RT my solution

So, a few years ago I wanted to trailer my Cognac 2014 RT-S SE6. I sent for the "Superclamp" set up in plenty of time to get it and install it on my 18' drop tail flatbed car trailer. It didn't arrive when I expected it and after many excuses about the carrier, the manufacturer and the retailers...

    Meet the B.A.A.T.S System

Great idea! I just had to put another belt on my Spyder and am going through alignment hell right now. Aligned perfectly in the air, but once on the ground and ridden, it's all the way to the left side of the rear flange and rubbing the flange on the drive sprocket. Doc, if you won't be selling...

Found this in my drive belt

Only YOU.... know if this is going to bother you as you ride. There is no reason to replace the belt except for your peace of mind. I would not worry about the stone either. At some point, may have noticed a moderately loud noise and the bike shook as if you hit a rock with the rear tire. THAT...

Adjustment of air bag on rear shock for 2014 RTS SE6

PS- I think it is Doc Humphreys who manufactures a device that sits between the airbag and metal ledge to keep stones out from under the bag. Supposed to be raining here for the next week or two so, I'm gonna be replacing my bag, installing Doc's device as well as a new compressor and every...

Adjustment of air bag on rear shock for 2014 RTS SE6

Common problem... It a common problem with these bikes. Mine wore a hole in it too. If you pump it up tight and a stone happens to sit on the bottom ledge on which the airbag sits and then you let some air out, it forms a roll (think fat roll over your belt) which holds the stone in place until...

MY EXPERIENCE PUTTING A NEW REAR TIRE ON MY 2014 RT

Thanks.... ....I found one miscalculation..... a car tire would have to handle 1/4 of the 3600# car with the pressure indicated somewhere on the car (gas filler lid/drivers door). ...just being picky but I respect your analysis. You've put more miles on Spyders I'm sure than I ever will! Again...

MY EXPERIENCE PUTTING A NEW REAR TIRE ON MY 2014 RT

Tire pressure??? Knight, would you still recommend 21 PSI if I generally ride 2 up and near the max weight limit.....and occasionally pulling a 622 trailer? Running the Khumo tire on the back.

    BUMP IN DRIVE BELT

Then you don't want to "get stuck"..... ...in the Hanover, PA area either! Wanted a fortune to even BALANCE a rear wheel with a tire they didn't install. Told them no thanks... Ride-On was cheaper, works better, and provides a little extra insurance. Other than a decent price on the new machine...

    BUMP IN DRIVE BELT

The bump IS a little stone..... If the stone is not big enough, it could be captured by the belt fibers and not push all the way through. You can't see it from the "inside" of the belt (teeth side) because the belt tries to "heal" itself and fills in right around the stone. Running with the...

Limp Mode if on a trip

You MIGHT be right.... I see yours is a 2011. I did a "non-scientific" survey a few months back. Less than a handful of folks had no issues with their Spyder. The overwhelming winner was the 2013 models. I have a 2014 that never ceases to disappoint me (it's currently waiting for me to rebuild...

    Updates for 2018...

I'd forego ALL..... ....the trivial stuff listed just to see better reliability in the stuff my 2014 RT-S already has. 1- Rear tires that last as long at the fronts 2-Get the quirks out of the existing computer software 3- Upgrade the compressors and figure out how to keep stones from sitting...

    Impromptu Unscientific Satisfaction Survey

From your "Farkle" list... ....I would say nothing there disqualifies you from submitting a "positive" review...AND I see it's a 2014. Of course folks don't list their necessary repairs so, I'll put you down as a maybe. You are correct. I have never owned a bike. I don't think that should...
