• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

stars from the past, and their service to america

This was a great posting. My father also lied about his age to enlist in WWII. He had a purple heart and a permanent disability that he always claimed was from injuries sustained from flipping a jeep while intoxicated. It was only after his death that I learned his ship, a tin can, had earned 9...

    Updates for 2018...

Yes and it works great although there is a very noticeable whine. There have also been some recent questions about long term reliability of the BRP tensioner. My belt vibration is completely eliminated, which at first tended to make me ride at higher speeds than expected. [emoji6]

    Respect ??

My experience as well. I sort of wrote it off to Spyders having lots of plastic bodywork and not a lot of chrome.

    First Idler Kit Failure?

Yep, it's always had the whine, but it has seemed much louder the last few days. Could be my imagination though. I won't worry about it unless the belt vibration returns.

    First Idler Kit Failure?

I'm not the person who had the failure, but I am using the BRP idler on a 2012 RT in AZ. My install still seems to be functioning, but there is a greatly increased whine compared to when it first went on. It's been on for a few hundred miles and only gotten louder in the recent much hotter...

    selling spyder???

Don't do the "time-sale" thing, even for a friend. It almost never works out. I've had situations where I "needed" to sell a vehicle, but there were no takers. My solution was to drop the price $50 or $100 every week. I started with a fair price, but ended up selling for a massive discount. In...

    I HATE SNOW

Sandstorms do happen a couple times a year, but I've never had to shovel the walk or driveway after one. [emoji6] We also get monsoon storms. And we have rattlesnakes and scorpions mountain lions and bears and javalina and everything is either poisonous or covered with thorns, sometimes both...

    RTS Belt Tensioner Question

As a recent installer of Doc's adapter on my 2012 RT, I can say it is a fairly easy install, assuming you are comfortable with removing the Tupperware. In the few test miles I've ridden, it seems to have completely eliminated the vibration. The whine is not very noticeable to me, but then again...

    Merry AZ Christmas!

The song parody was just for fun, you see. It's raining like the dickens here in AZ. I sing not of what is, but what I wish to be. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you mean the AM/FM radio antenna, I will second the Walmart recommendation. Cheap and has worked great since installation a couple years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Decrease in Posting

I can ride all year, but typically choose not to when temps are over 105. Additionally, my current job often prevents riding as much as I would like due to the unpredictable schedule and frequent requirements to work through weekends. :shemademe_smilie:

Hi new guy here with some questions

I am 6' tall and find the 2012 (basically the same as the 2011) RT very comfortable with seal floorboards. I also love the SE5 paddle shift, even though I've always ridden conventional motorcycles in the past. I also do not mind the 998 twin in the older models. The triple is better, but for me...

THE NAY-SAYERS ARE WRONG..... it IS a Motorcycle!

So would a Piaggio MP3 scooter be considered a roadster? My understanding is that the State of Nevada considers reverse trikes to be motorcycles, but does not consider a conventional trike a motorcycle due to two driven wheels. Really, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't judge. I love...

THE NAY-SAYERS ARE WRONG..... it IS a Motorcycle!

Agreed. Spyders/trikes are NOT bikes. (bi=2 tri=3), but are they motorcycles? As a member of a conventional motorcycle club, I've actually given this topic far too much thought and had many "friendly" discussions with other members. We sometimes have to agree to disagree. Want to Maintain the battery Using the Trunk 12v Plug

Just checking, but are you trying to power the battery by connecting it to itself? The 12 volt plug in the trunk gets its power from the battery you are trying to power. Sorry if I'm not understanding... or are you just having a bit of a joke with us? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
